Would it not be possible to have someone confiscate the twelve thousand trumpet-horn things from the crowd as they arrive?

It's hard enough trying to feign interest in football without having to put-up with what sounds like a swarm of gigantic bees for 90 minutes.

...other than that: dullish day; France very average; not sure about the them horns...will be intersting to see if their noise dominates once you get a team like England with plenty of vocal support; on the bets, down, as I had RSA V Mexico at 2.5+ goals; bring on tomorrow.

Jeezus H.....

What's with those fekkin horns

Officials say that blowing continuously into the horns has a similar effect to inhaling gas and so 'added to the elation' for locals.

Green ain't good enough. I've posted before wondering just what Hart has to do to get picked and haven't changed my mind.

Yep it was a howler from Green and just not good enough at this level. But nor was the crossing good enough, nor did we play enough through the midfield. USA made us look ordinary and ordinary won't beat the likes of Brazil, Spain, even Argentina. That's what happens when you use friendlies to experiment instead of building a stable core team that know how to play with each other.
Yeah well...mistakes happen at all levels in all aspects of life..... If Green gets the blame for an early England exit then that would be unfair. They bashed the woodwork and came close four or five times, left your midfield flaccid and neutered Rooney. I reckon a draw was a fair result.
I think i must have been watching a different game to everyone who's made comments...i was expecting nothing more than the poor efforts i had seen in the lead up to the world cup, playing badly yet still getting results ! However, i was quite surprised...i thought we played some fantastic football and i would even go as far as to say world class.Had it not been Greens unfortunate error, the game was ours, Usa posed very little threat especially in the 2nd half. There were some class performances from a majority of the team and for the first time in as long i can remember we looked like a team !

    • I’m not sure how many other people have experienced this; but both me and one of my friends have the same story. Around Crawthew Grove and Crystal Palace Road: I was followed by a large fox right on my heel. At first I didn’t notice because I had my headphones on, but then I noticed my shadow had an extra lump in it, funnily enough, it was a fox, very very close to my feet. Even if I sped up walking it just tried to get closer - it was quite frightening actually, it was quite clear that it wanted to nip me. I didn’t know what to do so, I started to reprimand the fox and walked slowly away from it, facing it - which it didn’t seem to like and backed off a bit. I then proceeded to speed-walk away.   Quite frankly, the whole situation was quite embarrassing and a little bit frightful as I’d never had a fox even come up to me. I’ve heard of particularly curious foxes that might come up to someone who beckons them, and maybe even bite that person, but I’ve never heard of a fox chasing someone. The amount of confidence that it had was incredible.    When it happened, I was on the way to see some friends, and once I had told one of them, she told me the same thing happened to her.  if anyone else knows anything about this bitey fox then let me know!
    • Another recommendation for Andy. I needed an old kitchen removed as an emergency. Andy came over quickly and did a fantastic job. I have used Andy a few times. He is punctual, helpful and always does an  excellent job.
