Ladymuck
I've just spent the last minute trying to unlock the car door...with the TV remote! Anyone else suffer similar lapses in mental aptitude? brum
Very funny LM! I once mistakenly applied verruca gel to my chapped lips, thinking it was lipsol! Ouch! Kells
Ouch indeed! Trying to get through the ticket barriers with a Barclays connect card. And then getting annoyed when it doesn't work. Applespider
My sis double-checked that she had her mobile before leaving the house the other day.An hour later, she went to make a call and realised that she had her cordless house phone with her... The mobile was sitting by the charging cradle. Doh! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10917-a-moment-of-madness/#findComment-316034 Share on other sites
hellosailor
Several times I have wandered round my house chatting on my mobile to a friend while simultaneously frantically looking for my mobile, once going so far as to explain to the friend I was talking to that I couldn't find my mobile. She was kind enough to point out that in order to be speaking to her it was presumably held to my face.frequently try to swipe barclaycard at oyster points, but assume (or hope) that most people do that sometimes.once handed over a tampax to a shopkeeper instead of a fiver when I was buying cigarettes. sophiesofa
I've tried on more than one occasion to get through the ticket barriers with my bunch of keys. Who want's to be perfect anyway - I find myself quite entertaining at moments like these. ryedalema
Ah - now I'm an expert on this; - Dialling '9' to get an outside line on our home phone - Using my work's ID card for the tube/bus (and my Oyster card to get into work) - Also on my first night at my boyfriend (now husband)'s house I mistook Dettol for mouthwash. That one took a long time to overcome!!!I haven't managed to leave our baby on the car roof yet (ala National Lampoon vacation) but that's probably as I cannot reach the roof of our car.Health visitor, anyone? ryedalema
Ah yes, and I also locked my car keys inside my car and went to throw a brick through the window so I could get them back. I forgot to let go of the brick (and have a scar on the back of my hand as evidence of my genius!).I'm such a catch!
