Ive always liked this song, but more than that, I think Natalie Imbruglia atually deserves a bit of respect as a musician, and is more than just another soap star turned pop star .

(Live)

Anyone else like / respect an artist, whom they feel doesn't get due credit, or taken seriously?

Nobody ever really got Mansun in the 90's.

Attack Of The Grey Lantern was/is an absolute gem of an album, but they were always overlooked for awards due to being entirely uncharismatic and blase to the point of completely not caring about the prospect of winning anything.

Highlights are 'The Chad Who Loved Me' and 'Taxloss'. Look em up on YouTube...

The Bluetones - most people that remember them (and that isn't many) think they split up ages ago, but they are still going, releasing new material and touring regularly, and they always put on a good show.

Perhaps they haven't yet topped their first album, but there are a lot of much less talented bands getting much more attention these days.

It is funny how things change because in reality back in the 1970s ABBA for instance were treated as a bit of a joke, naff and not very talented by anyone who 'took their music seriously' - and gaaawwd people did then - whereas now they are (rightly) lauded as great songwriters and artists. Still not my cup of tea mind.
I also think that loads of black artists from the 1970s certainly didn't get enough credit as only their highly commercialised disco stuff got any air play and into the charts. Listen to some early Commodores or Kool and the Gang. I don't think George Clinton gets enough credit either.

Christ there's loads of them, where to start :-S

OK one example, Rory McLeod, possibly MacLeod, f-ing brilliant, clearly someone is giving him credit as we can't afford him at The Goose Is Out! but who on this forum except for me has ever heard of him?? Used to be a busker and one-man-band :)-D

My favourite is 'where's my jumper' closely followed by 'kick me with your leather boots'. Takes me back (not the kicking anyone with leather boots part).

Yes it most certainly is.

I think the pair of you should be put into a padded cell, strapped to chair and forced to listen to Bewitched on repeat until you come to you senses. Mind you with taste like that you'd probably enjoy the experience.

    • I think Watsons General Telegraph do two margaritas  for £13 every Thursday. The Great Exhibition also does a margarita deal on a Thursday: https://www.greatexhibition.pub/new-events-1 I've not tried either deal yet.
    • We first used Aaron's services for a badly damaged wall that had gone back to the brickwork due to water ingress from the bay window. We found Aaron initially through recommendation and were very fortunate to do so as we already had a couple of quotes from trades found online that were just ridiculous, clearly just a rip off, so not sure what we would of done without that recommendation. We have just had more work completed by him, two walls skimmed and more comprehensive work where the brickwork was exposed around the fireplace. The wall above the fireplace was the original plaster finish and in good condition but the original plan was to have the whole wall replastered but we couldnt get the tv off the wall bracket so asked Aaron if he could just plaster up to the tv, not ideal but not much choice. Aaron didnt have any issue with that atall and more than happy to do it. Amazingly the join between the new plaster and old plaster is invisible. Perfect feather edge finish.  Aaron is very pleasant natured, he turns up on time, he doesnt mess about and gets on with the job. He works in a very clean manner. He doesnt try and inflate the job to make it more expensive. We found him to be extremely competitively priced. Both jobs have been finished to an excellent standard. The finish is so smooth its like glass. We will certainly be using his services again in the future.     Aaron Manser 07773 410661
    • Yes, and now there's a leak further down Barry Road. Two men from Thames came and stood there looking at it and then went away. Over 24 hours later water still pouring out and no sign of any action to repair
