At the weekend you can find some free parking spaces near London Bridge, or train to London Bridge. Then get river boat to Embankment and then tube to Camden and walk. This has been the best option we've had for baby, toddler and parents and great fun. Time wise, we caught river boat at 10.30 ish and left zoo at about 3.15 which meant home easily for tea.

I can't drive sadly and I'm going during the week with my group .

Most of the routes seems to be via Camden Town which requires bus , train , tube and walking .

Or a bus via Victoria.

I'm just keen to go for the quickest and easiest route.

Thanks for all your replies so far.

I've been a few times with two small children. I've found easiest as there are no stairs to deal with is Denmark Hill to St Pancras (occasionally need to change at Blackfriars, but easy change) and then bus or walk to the zoo. Quite a long walk, but fine if children in buggy. (If you/children are knackered at the end of the day, there's a black cab rank outside the zoo entrance and it's about ?10 to St Pancras....)
Not sure how journey times compare as it's a while since I did it, but an alternative route is: bus to elephant and castle, then bakerloo line to Regents park, then walk through the park to the zoo. Probably a longer walk than from Camden tube, but lovely to walk through the park.

What about the 37 to Brixton and then the Victoria line all the way to Euston? Victoria line is really quick and the trains are new so easy with a buggy.

A bit of a walk but step free all the way! 29 min walk or you can grab a black cab. It's 7 minutes.

I can't drive either and can second that Denmark hill way would be easy as well. Step free etc. X

    • The TW leak is right outside JAGS at the top of the hill and water was flowing in both directions.  At one point, combined with the thunderstorm on Sunday afternoon, the road under the bridge on Village Way was flooded as it couldn't drain fast enough.  Traffic was turning around rather than risking it. I don't think the lights on the bend are related but could be I guess.
    • I am bowing out of having anything to do with the community notice board issue now. I just went back to the beginning of the thread to read it through again,  because I couldn't remember how the whole discussion started. I then saw that the OP appears to have recently  been right through the thread they started in January and added various emojis to posts, including a quite inappropriate laughing emoji on a post concerning their own editing and/or deletion  of  at least one very nasty post about at least one  other forum member. It seems a bit ironic that that should be on a forum thread they started about an issue supposedly to benefit the community. And  they have also put  "confused" emojis on some of my posts which seem perfectly clear to me. I imagine that  when they read this they will go back and remove the emojis. Hopefully they  now have  enough information from Pugwash about the keys and the location of  unlocked noticeboards to finish their original excellent quest, which apparently started well over a year ago when they began emailing councillors, because I no longer have any inclination to spend more time on it.
