Mrs Nesbitt gave my wife a dirty look once just for speaking to him. Then I gave her a dirty look for speaking to him. The dirty Irish dog.

Presumably he was visiting Caffe Nero (boom boom)

Come on people, it's Robert De Nero the Robert De Niro tribute band - he plays violin against a giant screen depicting a CGI reconsruction of Rome in flames.

He was booked into the Wetherspoons in Lewisham I believe.

No wiser I did not know Robert de Nero was in a band to begin with;-)

Yes he was once on tour with Bananarama and they deliberately left him behind at the Birmingham Hippodrome one night.

And just to rub it in the chancer popstrels wrote a song teasing him about it.

Rob became disillusioned with the music business after that and quit.

Which is a shame as he coulda been a Proclaimer.

Maybe.

No, but I once saw Billy Bragg.

Who, by coincidence, wrote the immortal lyric "I look like Robert De Niro, I drive a Mitsubishi Zero..."

Billy was on the 185 at the time, day-dreaming about one day upgrading his ride to perhaps a WW2 Mitsubishi Zero Japanese fighter plane. He glanced up, and happened to clock the real Robert De Niro travelling on the bus.

After that Art imitated Life, and his hit song "Sexuality" somehow just seemed to write itself.

Hi new to this site, but thought it looked fun! I have also seen James Nesbit along by East Dulwich Hospital. Sainsbury's is a regular for the famous, ones like shirley from Eastenders the one who almost married phil. Then there's Jenny Eclair also. Well thats it for now

    • Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools.  This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected] or 020 8613 6500 and we'll be really happy to help.
    • One wonders if he would have defected if he had, ahem, held on to the leadership of Southwark and whether he felt that "Labour are no longer the vehicle for social justice" during his leadership election........my how quickly things change in the thoughts of a politician 😉 I think this sums things up quite nicely: A senior Southwark Labour spokesperson hit back: “Local residents can draw their own conclusions about Cllr McAsh’s swift move from Labour leadership hopeful to the Green Party, after he didn’t get his own way. While he’s thinking about his own career, Southwark Labour are delivering for residents.” One wonders if he will stand as a Green candidate in Goose Green.
    • No doubt if he determines to stand for a ward he will enlighten us - at least his track record is one of using this site to communicate (inter alia). I would suspect that (1) his personal views on traffic will have remained consistent but that (2) his views on local democracy and proper consultation will have as well.
    • Yes, but I want to know where he stands on all this stuff now. My feeling is it won't be any different from Labour?
