I love this forum - it just gets better each day.

The reason for this emotional outburst? Where else would you find a flea-ridden pet dog running a lottery in aid of both The Pakistan Floods Appeal and St Christopher's Hospice?

Thanks to Mark and to the team who ensure its smooth running.

Dear Admin,

I just wanted to say thank you for making the mangy fleabag's Charity Thread a "sticky". You didn't have to, but in the spirit of that mad dog's well intentioned thread, you did. I hope that your course of action will encourage others to play Fleabag's Lottery in the name of two worthy causes.

Last I heard a dog named woof was run over by a no.63 ghost bus on Lordship Lane, after chasing after the Meatwagon for scraps. It was a very sad tale indeed although the meatwagon made sure his carcass was put to good use ;-)

Annette Curtain is the new totty on the block....and not I'm told a flea in sight....I wonder what she uses to clean her nets though?

    • If you want to self cater and do it yourself, why not try one of the rooms in a church..  one I am thinking about has a huge room with kitchen and toilets… parking on site.. and another one worth considering is the church near Dulwich Library , top of Barry Road..  pm if you want more info and of course.. all the pubs on Lordship Lane. if you want further afield, Rosendale Pub has rooms above bar area that you can also hire…  Alleyns Head also good - section off a section of the pub for  your sole use and parking on site.. although, might not work if try want to dance and play there own music. Kingwood House might also be worth considering…
    • Upstairs at The Castle in Crystal Palace Road is a nice space. It has been refurbished. It has a small bar and a small dance space. Robert the landlord is helpful and friendly, as are the bar staff. I will PM you.
    • Hi. Trying to find a small venue for an 18th birthday, any suggestions? Everything’s really expensive.
    • Thank you both. That's really helpful. Will see if we have the budget left next year when we've finished some other work on the house, but would love to do this.
