Out of interest, how do you get to the classes timetable on the EveryoneActive website. I've looked everywhere but can't find it. The booking system for classes looks complicated and some classes aren't listed in the system. I just want to see the complete timetable. The reception staff don't have hard copies as apparently the timetable is changing frequently.

  • 1 month later...

Could someone let me know if there is a way other than using their online page to sign up to the free gym?

I have tried numerous times to register online, using different browsers and devices and when I get to the last part of the registration page and hit submit all I get is a "loading" message at the bottom of the page but nothing happens.

It is very frustrating, I have gone to the gym to ask if there was another way of signing up as the website said you could get an application form, but they said I have to do it online. Could anyone help? Is it just me or is this problem happening to others as well?

The last page of the site didn't complete fully, without my realising, and I only found out when I went in to DLC. However, the rest of my application had saved itself OK and the girl on reception kindly offered to finish it off for me when I went in last week. Worth a try?

I tried online and same thing so went to Camberwell leisure centre and insisted on filling out a form which the receptionist insisted didn't exist but was right in front of her. A slight queue built up while I was asking her about this (two/three people) and she got a bit annoyed but gave me the form which I duly completed.

This was a month or so ago so now got the email to say I'm in.

I went to Dulwich and when I asked about the paper form they said that they didn't have any, and that the only way to sign up was to do it online. They weren't that busy, it was a week day in the afternoon but they just didn't seem to care. Maybe I try to enquirer about it in Peckham to see if they are more helpful, but if I register with them, does that mean I have to use that gym?

Thanks

So I went again to DLC and this time a different girl was at the reception, I explained the issue with the registration online and how others had similar problems and managed to get her to have a look at it for me. She was very helpful this time, and yesterday I finally got an email confirming that I am now registered, just need to pick up the card. So thank you everyone for your comments.

Just to warn you that I was asked for photo identity when I went to collect my card.

    • Our camera caught two folks doing this. One of them led me to believe the delivery driver was in on it as he left the package in a very odd place that the thief (who arrived about 10 minutes after from a direction where he could not have seen where the driver left it) went straight to it and took it - but he then dumped it halfway down the next road as clearly packets of freeze-dried food for a DofE award wasn't to his liking (karma sucks!). The second time a guy pulled his bike up in broad daylight, walked down to our door, opened the box, threw the empty box down and stuffed what he had found in his backpack and brazenly waved at the camera and then cycled off. Police asked us to upload his picture but we never heard anything back.
    • I hear that Landells Road has had a spate of parcels being taken,
    • In the 1960s my husband went to a private day school, Although he was a bright child having won a couple of scholarships to other private schools, his father chose this particular one. He went from 11 - 14 years and left as unhappy with the set up which was based on ethnicity. All boys with both parents English were placed in the A stream regardless of academic ability, Boys with an Irish background were placed in B stream. All others were C streamed - this included boys with a Black or Asian  background, mixed race or mixed European background. His schooldays came to an end when he wished to learn Latin and he was told that no boy in C stream could participate in this subject. His father (not English) was very upset at this and withdrew him from the school and sent him  to a country boarding school.  The experiences he had with his schooling culminated in a breakdown of his mental health and several months in Maudsley. He had low self esteem and it took several decades for him to understand that it was the school system and not his ability which had failed him
    • Actually, one of the reasons Sylvester Road was closed was that the space available as more and more parcels were part of the mix was insufficient (and the facilities were primitive). And that was before Covid when parcel delivery numbers soared. Sylvester Road as it existed then would not have coped, probably (and the move to Peckham, when Covid arrived, showed that that wasn't sufficient either!).
