PLEASE steer clear of... MJ Heating & Plumbing Services (Postcode SE27)

Recommended Posts

MJ Heating & Plumbing Services (Postcode SE27) there are a couple of others in London, so not to get confused.

The main man goes by the name of Jerry or Bruce and brings in his team to do plumbing, tiling, grouting, building works and sealant etc. But... he charges a lot of money for a very poor job. Pictures attached are the finished job (and a cement covered kitchen floor). When we said we weren't going to pay a portion of the remaining money to him, he gave us a couple of excuses as to why he couldn't get our keys back to us, which left me feeling slightly worried and vulnerable.

He finished the job less than week ago after us giving him chance to rectify the poor quality, and we are now left with cracking grout, a very poor sealant job and a leaking sink...

Unfortunately, we have been left to clear up his mess (literally) and he has taken ?5k for the pleasure!

Any plumbers and good tillers who are willing to fix this for us, please get in touch.

More pics to follow.

Thanks

I agree that the tiling is atrocious. The man has not applied the basic principles required which clearly has resulted in ridiculous slithers on the corners of walls and tiles cut to fit in the middle of runs. It is not easy to tile unless walls are true and shouldn't be attempted unless they are. I would say that to remedy your problem would be to start a fresh. To give a proper assessment I would need to have a closer look.

Please feel free to get in touch.

Thanks Dirtybox.. Im not sure what your profession is so afraid I cant comment however, we weren't sent pictures of the chosen grout (we were on holiday when it was discussed and decided) and therefore is much darker than we wanted.. Another big learning curve for us...

Hi, I know exactly who your talking about, I recognise the bathroom as he called me to come and fix it, I refused to touch it as it was such a bad job. It needs a full redo, tiling over is a possibility. Did you manage to get it sorted?if not I could come and take a look and advise.

Best wishes, SIMON 07980 518654

    • Is it just me, or are some of the cars around East Dulwich now roughly the size of a modest one-bed flat? Our lovely Victorian streets were designed for horses, carts and the occasional penny-farthing — not rolling apartment blocks on wheels. Earlier today someone tried to pass me while driving squarely down the middle of the road, seemingly too terrified to move over in case their wing mirror brushed a leaf. We ended up in a sort of slow-motion standoff that felt less “road sharing” and more “Wild West showdown”. I completely understand wanting a safe, comfy car — but when the vehicle is wider than the street and both drivers need a deep breathing exercise just to squeeze past each other, it might be time to ask whether the car fits the postcode. Maybe we need Victorian-era width limits reinstated… or complimentary tape measures issued with every CPZ permit? 😉
    • Sad to hear about Mike Dulwich Fox he was a local lad born and brought up in the area.  R.I.P Bob S
    • Excellent news! I googled and came up with a thread from this forum about Jamie being forced out. I had posted the link, but when I read the thread I didn't think it was appropriate to post because  It was started by Dulwich Fox, who sadly died last year (R.I.P.), and contained comments by and to him which were not relevant to the actual closure.
