Forum Picnic - Sat 17th July - 3pm onwards - Peckham Rye Park (in front of the cafe)

Recommended Posts

No Citizen, my bitches are my homies. Spa weekend in Bath. Back rubs and bitching. As in, "does my bum look big in this bikini". "Well yes it does since you ask but never mind, we love you anyway". That sort of thing.

Well, I was too lazy to make the home-made hoomus blah blah. So I shall instead be bringing, 3 cheeses, some posh crackers, some strawberries and, of course, some coiyderr.

Oh, as we speak, this is what the weather looks like for tomorrow:.

So, Katarina Van Der Wotsit, see you tomorrow along with the other 2 musketeers.

yay - not long to go till the picnic and those light rainy showers B)

strawbs, CC, giggirl and anyone else who cannot make it, sorry we won't see you and hope you have a f-a-b weekend

to those that are coming, can't wait to meet you/see you again (most intrigued by these musketeers)

so I haven't made anything either :-$ I predict an early morning dash around the shops of ED for wine (seeking out the fabulous dry rose I tried in G&B earlier this week), some breads, olives and tapas-y, meze type things. And spam.

Apologies for omitting your title dear Lady Katharina Van Der Wotsit. Just to say, I managed to buy a small (but nifty) little "cool bag" from Sainsburys today - so don't buy one just for your picnic. An absolute snip at ?1.99!

Would you like the chauffeur tomorrow if its going to be rather inclement weather? Just say if so (he'll be in Poundland)

Toodle pip.

Lady Katharina Van Der Wotsit, I can see that you are going to have to get up very early tomorrow morning. Indeed, your time management skills leave a great deal to be desired. :)) I trust that both your chauffeur and butler will be on hand to assist you.

*giggles*

How terribly kind of you Lady Katharina Van Der Wotsit. However, given your current plight (i.e. having left everything to the last minute) I think you'll find that your needs will be greater than mine.

However, I much appreciate the thought.

Toodle pip.

You are just too too funny DJKQ...I could die laughing.

Sorry folks i will be coming empty handed, cupboards are bare and i cant face going out to the shops, incase something irritates me/gives me the hump and spoils my afternoon i.e queues, slow shoddy service, prefered items not in stock, someone with a home counties accent or god forbid a northerner!

    • Strange isn’t it…..other European countries s actually come up with solutions to house homeless people, which are pod structure, use of office blocks, etc. homeless are provided with thermals, warm sleeping bag and tent or pop up tent plus tech friendly clothing which means they are warm in extreme conditions. Us in UK? Nothing but chuckinto house of multiple occupation, which is usually not warm and not all have mould, but some do.. live in one room even if you are a family with good only knows what other sort of people…  not referring to ethinicity here but more along the lines of mental health problems, drugs, alcoholics. Single and families all in one property. Or if you are one of the lucky ones, into a hotel you go…   Why don’t we as a nation claw back more money in the form of tax  or avoidance avoidance, off shore accounts or other ways that rich or investors do buck the system….
    • Hello! I’m considering buying the demise for the loft-space above my flat (facing the classic renovate or move scenario for an additional bedroom or 2). Has anyone had recent experience of buying the demise from Southwark? Interested to know how they’re handling the premium/valuation.  thanks!
