I have never been a Tottenham-hater, despite my allegiances but the recent behaviour of their board has made me slightly harder-hearted. Ramos is in the same boat as Keegan and Curbs were viz: lack of control over player comings and goings and he deserves better. As do Tottenham fans

What did Ramos do that was so wrong? Have I missed something?

As for

'tis a rallying call for a better world for sure. Ironic quotation marks or not ;-)

Come on quids - you are in one of your better moods tonight - commit to a drink. Keefy play guitar at the Plough next Friday. West Ham have won this weekend. Just do it. doooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

Books have always needed balancing and players have been sold for that reason, but for a manager to have no control seems new. And That's players leaving the club, to have someone else bringing the players in, Dennis Wise for example, is just insane. I do think that Keegan has deserved the tag of quitter in the past, but don't blame him at all this time round.
Not sure It's cut and dry. Panel have found in their favour, but the figure you quote is what they want, noone has awarded it to them from what I understand, and the hammers are speaking to their lawers. This will drag on. Don't see why hammers should pay out, if Tevez shouldn't have been playing, then it's the leagues fault for allowing it. Sour grapes and a load of nonsense in my opinion. Sorry Simon.

McCabe - it strikes me he's jumping the gun yet again... getting the findings in first and the 'compensation' before the full findings are out, he's got previous on second guessing enquiries findings wrongly...?30 million ...I very much doubt it...

....just a reminder, Sheffield United went down 'cos they couldn't get a result against Wigan at home on the last day of the season McCabe

McCabe has consistently asked for ?30million - even though ?50 million was nearer the mark, as he claimed that was what United lost as a result of the relegation.

Looking at various feedback sites it seems there's little sympathy for West Ham anywhere, outside of their ownn supporters obviously. Even Leeds supporters - no great fans of the Blades but no strangers to points deductions obviously - are applauding the verdict by the Independent Tribunal.

I doubt even a ?50million award would affect tonight's result though! 3-0 (at least) to Arsenal is my forecast - even if it is the youngest Arsenal side ever!

    • This is simply untrue. The area is not 2/3 storeys maximum. Hambledon Court is on the other side of tracks from the Jewson site on Burrow Rd, is 8 storeys, and is barely known (let alone bothersome) to most people in East Dulwich. Felbridge House, Petworth House etc on the opposite side of the station from the new development are all 5 storeys tall. East Dulwich Charter (which neighbours the new development) is itself 4-5 storeys (depending on which block you're talking about). What's more, Hambledon Court was finished in about 1978 iirc and no-one has built anything similar around here since then - so the "slippery slope" "genie in the bottle" argument doesn't work either. You can't simultaneously argue that Southwark is too slow in approving new construction but also suggest this will lead to a flood of new high-rise housing! At current rates of approval, we can expect our next 8 storey building to arrive in...2072!
    • I checked - the Hanway Street place was Mandeer - it moved to New Oxford Street I think and was replaced by Hakkasan - very different prices.
    • Suppose it depends on how many Christmas cards from family and friends you’re waiting to receive. It’s been the Christmas period so surely give the post delivery service some leeway. Like Sue I’ve not posted off so many this year but some I still write letters to  e.g my late mum’s cousins and other family  but hey ho that’s something I do and enjoy.  I used to hand deliver Christmas cards to a lot of neighbours on my street but gave up this year as realised that most of them I don’t see or speak to and can only count on a few to call a true friend or neighbour.
