Only messing. I hope to be able to watch the match, but not sure how the new Mrs Keef will feel about it... It's funny, I was thinking tight draw, but now I'm thinking we're either going to hit the form we're capable of, and deliver a great win, or you're going to soundly thump us in our own back yard.... Please let it be the former!

Leeds 4 - Millwall 0 1/2 hr to go

Here we go with Leeds United

We're gonna give the boys a hand

Stand up and sing for Leeds United

They are the greatest in the land

Every day, we're all gonna say

We love you Leeds! Leeds! Leeds!

Everywhere, we're gonna be there

We love you Leeds! Leeds! Leeds!

Marching on together

We're gonna see you win (na na na na na na)

We are so proud

We shout it out loud

We love you Leeds! Leeds! Leeds!

We've been through it all together

And we've had our ups and downs (ups and downs!)

We're gonna stay with you forever

At least until the world stops turning 'round

Every day, we're all gonna say

We love you Leeds! Leeds! Leeds!

Everywhere, we're gonna be there

We love you Leeds! Leeds! Leeds!

Marching on together

We're gonna see you win (na na na na na na)

We are so proud

We shout it out loud

We love you Leeds! Leeds! Leeds!

As we play all the day for Leeds United

Elland Road is the only place for us

With heart and soul for the goal that's clearly sighted

We're out to toast each other from that that golden cup !

You should see how he runs speedy Reaney......

(......well he's probably a bit slower these days).

4-2 at full time...Dennis must have told them to ease off for old times sake....

After watching our magnificent performance yesterday, I can see why Carragher has given up international football. After 50 minutes he was breathing through his backside!!! I never rated the guy even when he was supposed to be useful. My enduring image of him is watching him bump into his fellow players as Henry rounded him and 3 others to win the game at Highbury a few season back, after we were trailing 2-1. Great chant from the gooners yesterday, and very accurate it was to. LIVERPOOL...........HOOF THE BALL. >:D

You are obviously forgetting that Carragher was out for about 3 weeks with a punctured lung? I don't imagine anyone would be at their fittest after going through that.

As for "Liverpool, hoof the ball". How original, that seemed to be the only Aresenal chant all afternoon.

Good game to watch though.

Carragher doesn't need an excuse for playing badly, because he is a very average player. As for the chant, obviously the truth hurts. Even before Crouch came on, we knew what the game plan was. On the basis of yesterdays performance, it's clear Rafa has turned into the new Claudio Ranieri (tinkerman)

Truth or not, you still couldn't beat us, and I noticed a couple of long balls from your lot in desperation ;-)

To be fair, Arsenal bossed the game more than I would have liked, we played like an away team. However, it was a fair result, no one can say they were robbed, and Arsenal's strikers really need to practice their finishing!

We weren't robbed, however we were better than the home side, and if our finishing had been better, the scoreline could have been embarrasing. Still it bodes well for the return game at Ashburton Grove, and I think we will win that game comfortably, like we did last season. >:D

>>a millwall fan rang in and said that all the coaches carrying millwall fans had the windows put through by brick throwing morons.<<

The statement may well be absolutely true, but it'd not surprise me in the slightest if all the windows had been brokwn from the inside...:))

Blimey, another fan, excellent! The mighty whites now have an army of three in East Dulwich alone. Welcome to the club Angst - Clare and I thought we were the only brick throwers around these parts ;-)

Cracking result on Saturday. Wise is up for Manager of the Moth again - results on Thurs afternoon. Massive game on Saturday against Carlisle. Win that and then against Bournemouth on the Tuesday and we could be top of the league!

Marching on Together.

ps. I've got a feeling there are a couple of televised games on Sky, we should try and get together and see if a pub will put them on for us.

I hope you get to the premiership with Dennis Wise, as I can't satnd the man and it would be nice to stick 5 past his team like we did the last time you were in the Premiership >:D<

It would be equally nice to, once again, deny you the title on the last day of the season whilst avoiding relegation.

Do you remember that one too, Atilla?

:))

I thought Wise was a bit of a to*&er as well, but he compliments the Elland Road attitude. Similar tot that of Millwall - no one likes us...we don't care. If anything it has created a siege mentality that is working brilliantly for us. See this article in yesterday's Guardian for an example of the baying crowd at ER getting the better of the opposition.

Of course I remember it, I also remember that the 5 we stuck past you helped condemnd you to relegation and that most loyal of Leeds servants, Smith promptly jumped ship. What a true "white Rose" yorkshire man he turned out to be despite his pledges of loyality. As Jim Royle would say "Loyalty, my arse!!"

    • The current wave of xenophobia is due to powerful/influential people stirring up hatred.  It;'s what happened in the past, think 1930s Germany.  It seems to be even easier now as so many get their information from social media, whether it is right or wrong.  The media seeking so called balance will bring some nutter on, they don't then bring a nutter on to counteract that. They now seem to turn to Reform at the first opportunity. So your life is 'shite', let;s blame someone else.  Whilst sounding a bit like a Tory, taking some ownership/personal responsibility would be a start.  There are some situations where that may be more challenging, in deindustrialised 'left behind' wasteland we can't all get on our bikes and find work.  But I loathe how it is now popular to blame those of us from relatively modest backgrounds, like me, who did see education and knowledge as a way to self improve. Now we are seen by some as smug liberals......
    • Kwik Fit buggered up an A/C leak diagnosis for me (saying there wasn't one, when there was) and sold a regas. The vehicle had to be taken to an A/C specialist for condensor replacement and a further regas. Not impressed.
    • Yes, these are all good points. I agree with you, that division has led us down dangerous paths in the past. And I deplore any kind of racism (as I think you probably know).  But I feel that a lot of the current wave of xenophobia we're witnessing is actually more about a general malaise and discontent. I know non-white people around here who are surprisingly vocal about immigrants - legal or otherwise. I think this feeling transcends skin colour for a lot of people and isn't as simple as, say, the Jew hatred of the 1930s or the Irish and Black racism that we saw laterally. I think people feel ignored and looked down upon.  What you don't realise, Sephiroth, is that I actually agree with a lot of what you're saying. I just think that looking down on people because of their voting history and opinions is self-defeating. And that's where Labour's getting it wrong and Reform is reaping the rewards.
    • @Sephiroth you made some interesting points on the economy, on the Lammy thread. Thought it worth broadening the discussion. Reeves (irrespective of her financial competence) clearly was too downbeat on things when Labour came into power. But could there have been more honesty on the liklihood of taxes going up (which they have done, and will do in any case due to the freezing of personal allowances).  It may have been a silly commitment not to do this, but were you damned if you do and damned if you don't?
