citizenED
1-0 Liverpool. Arsenal just haven't got the resolve at the business end of the season. The fact Utd did not win on Sunday goes against them. In the back of Wenger's mind is the fact that the Prmiership is still an outside chance.Hope I'm wrong. SeanMacGabhann
I'm inclined to agree with you CitizenEd on everything but the fact that I can see us scoring one goal. How we build on that I have no idea Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/102/#findComment-93034 Share on other sites
Jah Lush
Obviously Liverpool have a slight advantage with their away goal but we saw what Arsenal are capable of after a 0-0 draw at the Emirates, they went over to Milan and got a fabulous result. I wouldn't like to bet on this one as it could still go either way but I think whoever scores first will win the match but then again I could be wrong. SimonM
Well for once Liverpool start as favourites and Arsenal will be the underdogs. I am not sure this is a good or abad thing from Liverpool's point of view. To coin a cliche, the first goal will be vital. So we neutrals will hope for an early goal from Arsenal to live the tie up. However it looks like 0-0 to me....Man Utd will be hoping to coast through their tie without getting any more central defenders injured. Chelsea should be able to get past Fenebahce...The main game of the week is tomorrow's Sheffield United v Sheffied W*dn*sd*y of course....>:D< Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/102/#findComment-93040 Share on other sites
Keef
Not sure Liverpool start as favourites, they got the away goal yes, but Arsenal put a load past us at Anfield last year!I think too close to call, as I said before, I think Arsenal will score, and 1-1 / extra time wouldn't surprise me at all, although I hope Liverpool can snatch it 2-1 in normal time! ...Will be interesting to see how he uses Torres tomorrow. I know Atila thinks he was anonymous last week, I disagree, I think he was taking defenders away from the action, and still useful. However, his scoring record at home is a lot better than away. Think Croutch deserves a game though. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/102/#findComment-93061 Share on other sites
Jah Lush
Crouch deserves a piece of the action I reckon. Fabulous goal at the weekend. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/102/#findComment-93062 Share on other sites
ratty
Crouch is signing for Pompey in the summer! The same Pompey who are beating West Ham tonight! (Probably not actually as Defoe is not playing!) Keef
Now come on Ratty, Croutch may leave the pool for more regular first team action, but he still wants to be in the England frame, that's the whole point! ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/102/#findComment-93242 Share on other sites
Keef
So how are the Reds and the Gooners feeling this morning? I am very nervous I must admit. I keep thinking we're going to lose, then I think nah, we can beat them, then I think don't be ever confident... Damn it, I don't want to think anything! Watching it at home tonight with a couple of mates, one pool, one arse! SeanMacGabhann
on the grounds that I can say "I love it when I'm wrong" tomorrow, let me state that:Arsenal will not make it through tonightBut seriously after three 1-1 draws already this season can we just fast-forward to a penalty shoot out? It's going to be a nerve-shredding night regardless of the outcome Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/102/#findComment-93262 Share on other sites
Annasfield
I am so nervous - have butterflies already. I really have not got a clue what will happen tonight and wish we'd lost at the weekend to give us determination to make sure it doesn't happen again. It is wide open... :-S Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/102/#findComment-93274 Share on other sites

Expect plenty of noise - it's going to be VERY loud. To class YNWA as garbage is simply jealousy, no one can knock Liverpool for that or the support from fans on a Euro night. Keef
I remember Liverpool Celtic in 97 or 98 I think. Now that was a loud YNWA!!!My mate text me at the weekend from a wedding he was attending. The groom is a big Pool fan, and he had strings and wind playing YNWA... Now that is tacky and devoid of class! I was at a wedding a couple of years back when the Bride came in to Sweet Child O' Mine, and they walked out to the Z-Cars theme (yes he was Everton)... The day didn't improve throughout unfortunately! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/102/#findComment-93295 Share on other sites
