Ended up with a last minute ticket to the England game tonight. 55 chuffin' squid!

Not the best of games, but was nice to view a potential Barry, Bentley & Gerrard (and who knows Crouchie) link up for next season.

Hargreaves played well tonight, but I'm not sure what game Lamps and A Cole were playing.

What game can I watch next week......

Errr yes, perhaps if we do sign him I'll edit that post. Not sure if I'd want to lose Alonso for him though. :-S

Hmmm - yes. I see what you saying and I realise that it's not a dirty red top rag reporting the story, however I won't be smug about it until it happens.

Don't forget that Torres was going to Chelsea only the week before last. The only difference here is that Ronaldo hasn't denied it.

I have no real feelings on the subject. Speaking as a fan, I've always stated that no player is bigger than the club. We and Man U, have had many big players come and go in the past and we still challenge for the biggest honours every season. Players come and go, the Club is the be and end all in my book. If a player has set his sights elsewhere, let him go, before he destabilises the dressing room.

I agree too, however what does make me laugh is how outraged United are by Real Madrid's behaviour. They do exactly the same thing every single season.

Those in glass houses...?..

(I do miss this topic; keep finding it on page two and three. Can't believe it has been ousted by arse and appendage size)

It is kind of ironic that the club & fans stuck by Ronaldo when he was castigated for getting Rooney sent off during the last world cup, and also that Van Nistleroy, who famously fell out with Ferguson over Ronaldo, after he claimed Ferguson was overly protective of Ronaldo, is now saying that the best club in the world wants the best players in the world. That is a kind of perverse twist to this. Players unfortunately these days have little or no loyalty to any club, no matter what the club has done for them. Look at Cashley Hole as the perfect example of extreme treachery.

    • Bumpkin I’d say feed and clean.    The RSPB say garden birds are low risk for avian flu but take precautions and clean feeders and birdbaths regularly.    Birds will be starting to nest soon and food you put out can at least feed the parents so they can feed live food to the young who can’t take seed yet.    It’s reccomended to wear gloves and clean feeders/birdbaths with mild disinfectant weekly.
    • We had a take-away from Aroma Lab last night. I was impressed, utterly delicious stir fried tofu and sweet and sour chicken. Generous portions too… will definitely make a habit of eating their home-cooked food.
    • I think that's a big assumption.  Many people vote for the candidate precisely because they are a member of a particular party and represent that party's policiies.  I personally didn't know who McAsh was in the last election, but I knew what party he represented.  When politicians don't act "morally" what are we to think of them and their motivations? But I think there will be people who want to vote Labour, don't know that McAsh has defected and accidentally vote Green precisely because they do vote for the name.  Yes, you could say they need to read the ballot paper more carefully but it's possible to see one thing and not notice another.
