Certainties in life: death, taxes and the unreliability of the BBC weather. Even allowing for the shaky nature of all other forecasts, the BBC forecast can almost be relied upon to be the polar opposite of what happens

Which I guess makes it almost the most reliable

Anyway ? www.weatherpro.eu is where I use when I feel the need to be curious about the weather

I find the beeb very reliable about the weather whilst it is actually occuring. So for example they are currently saying that today will be a bit overcase and it may rain. Spot on, I'd say.

Does create a small linguistic issue with calling it a "forecast" but that aside, it works well.

The BBC uses Met Office data, and that is consistently one of the most accurate forecasters in the world - a lot higher than 30% for next day forecast. The British weather is highly volatile due to the Atlantic primarily), far more so than the US and most of mainland Europe. And very difficult to predict more than a couple of days ahead.

The trick is to watch the dynamic forecast rather than rely on the static one/three/five day forecast.

    • So have you cancelled your contract with InPost / Yodel now? If so, that's probably caused hundreds of parcels to be stuck in limbo, as they've said to me before that they can't redirect them to a different store. I have a parcel that was refused by you twice, the last time on 5/12, and since then there's been no updates, despite me calling them 3 times. They just say it's being investigated, but if they now can't physically deliver to you then that is obviously the issue. So much for shopping for Christmas presents early, looks like I'll never get them now.
    • I thought I noticed the shop being redecorated the other day when I passed. Also the old Romeo Jones had some works going on, I think
    • Leon came to sort out a lighting issue for us last week.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave clear, detailed advice about how to avoid in future.  Would highly recommend him.
    • My dog has to be medicated to cope with  bonfire night. She’s a rescue so I don’t know what traumatic abuse she experienced. I love the fact that you, Dave CPR, are so unaware of how another can be affected by something that does not personally affect yourself. Blissful ignorance. Lack of Empathy. Cold hearted.
