My favourite is The Moth Podcast, true stories told live in front of an audience. All sorts of stories from a variety of people, some funny, some moving and almost always unpredictable.

Also like:

The First Time with Matt Everitt

The Joy of 6

Women's Hour

The Food Programme

The Bottom Line

A History of the World in 100 Objects has been recommended to me but I haven't listened yet.

Love LBC Steve Allen?s in conversations, with some well known stars that have been in show business a long time and what there thoughts and life experiences are. I recently was listening to Steve Allen speaking to Gladys?s Knight and writer Bob Crier very interesting people.

Hello,

These are all cool podcasts.

Here is a list of very cool podcasts that I have discovered over the last few years:

Stuff you should know - Two funny guys discuss and educated on something different every week.

Freakonomics radio - Another really interesting duo make funny and educational stuff.

Hamish and Andy - 2 of the best radio DJ's I've ever heard. Australian radio. They're near the end now but their catalogue should be on there.

Search for "Meet the filmmaker" and you should a whole bunch of great interviews with directors and writers.

SModcast: Kevin Smith and his producer Scott Mosier. Funny if you like that sort of humour.

Look up "John Lennon: The Rolling Stone interview"

And Answer me this is pretty funny too.

I generally just get sport ones but I'm guessing you're not too interested in that.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for this, I've subscribed since you posted it. Recommended.

In fact I never bothered with podcasts at all before this thread but new phone plus this means I now get it.

The Guardian's Football Weekly is good also.

    • Hi there!   We are looking into getting a side return and loft dormer. I wondered if anyone had any experience of working with Resi or GoPlans? We'd be keen for there to be an element of interesting architectural design, however can't afford a traditional architect. We wondered if Resi might have the edge over GoPlans on this due to the size of the company and the amount of architectural designers they have working for them.    We'd love to know any thoughts you had about these companies or similar!   Thanks!   Julia
    • I’d like to recommend local plumber - James at Trelco Plumbing. I’ve used them twice now, for a kitchen tap replacement and a boiler repair. Both times they were able to attend at short notice, arrived on time and we are very happy with the work they have done. James is polite, responsive and easy to deal with. • Deptford Green and Elm Green anecdotally have a more realistic and compassionate to kids differing needs. Whether that is still the case i'm not sure. Having 3 boys at Charter i would seriously consider a boys school if you have them, Charter East really aren't geared up for the different educational needs of some boys and the challenging behaviour this frustration leads to. I have heard amazing things about St Thomas the Apostle boys school.
