Well, he finally left on Friday after I gave him the ultimatum. My wife seems quite pleased when he left and said she was glad he had finished off at last.

Agreed, I'll have a gammon with a game bird/s, possibly Partridge this year.

And so much easier to prepare and cook.

I usually have one bottle of champagne then a few of prosecco.

    • So, private polling for Labour in London puts Labour and the Lib Dems with the same number of seats on Southwark Council come May. It’s not clear from this Guardian article (link below) if that will be all due to Labour losses or if the Lib Dems will actually make some gains in Southwark. Either way, the Greens are set for a massive surge in seats across London, if the polling is correct. • I shouted at someone who pushed by me on the tube last week, as they got off I said your could least say "excuse me". Somebody told me "they did".  Whoops, humble pie. I have no idea whether the original poster overreacted. I have done far too many times, and try (or should try harder) to learn from this, and do regret not handling things better/calmer.  I expect most of have similar 'guilty' secrets. There's a separate thread on why, being British, we apologise when it is not our fault, or when we simply want to get past someone.  Excuse me (and/or thank you when they move out of your way) is appropriate.  Even people who you wouldn't fancy meeting on a dark alley do this.  And I apologise for being so judgmental, I couldn't find the right words.   (if you remember this ad you may be considered by some to be old)
    • Leon came to do a full electrical check and sort out some problem lights yesterday. He came on time, was very polite and friendly and was a pleasure to do business with. He didn’t laugh at me when one of the problems was very badly designed lights (even if they look great) where the bulbs needed to be changed. He’ll probably get years of repeat business from these lights. His rates are very reasonable and I don’t hesitate to recommend him. p.s I found him on this forum but have only just joined, specifically to leave Leon a review.
    • I hope you have sought medical attention as well.  You should have antibiotics as well, as someone else has said. You could get sepsis too.
