I've just started watching the 1st Season of The Wire and although initially a little bit put off by friends who'd given up at the ghost after a couple of episodes, I feel like I'm coping, and am beginning to relax into it!

However, can someone just answer one question for me. I am now about to start Episode 6, and still not entirely sure how Bubbs got involved in helping out McNulty/Kima. Also, in the first episode you saw him using and since then haven't really. Can someone explain, or am I not meant to know this yet?!

I could be wrong but I think it's just a case of that's how it be as we enter the story. How it came to pass isn't really relevant but how Bubbs progresses will have you... emotional for sure

He is a former informant for Keema, that's it really. She knows him, then when his mate gets bashed up, he offers to help her.
