Oh RosieH and giggirl, I am so very excited now! I have been invited to a private viewing of the Tom Ford Beauty 2010 Seasonal collection at The Connaught next week and now I will not be able to sleep until I go! Only 4 more sleeps! I CANT WAIT!

I need to lie down. This cannot be true.

I have been searching all my life for the perfect nude lipstick (y-es, lipstick, yes) ...

Mr Tom Ford, I think I like you too (and keeping on topic) etc.

d-o-t - OMG is it really that much? Hmmmm....thats a lot but ... this has been a conquest of a lifetime! :D

Keeping on topic, I like MAC and Bobbi Brown (tu)

I also like Bobbi Brown.

Maybe the Tom Ford has a voucher which you flash at fellas who you find amaaazingly attractive and funny which guarantees you a really nice snog. I would like this and I would pay ?35 for it....

Back on topic.... I went to the Bermondsey street festival today. i like people who can hoist a whole pig on to a spit and roast it then put bits of pig into a sandwich. My mothers a genius but she's never roasted an entire pig. That's a gift.

I had never spent more than ?20 on a lip stick until I tried this.

If you still have a little bit of a lingering tan this is really good- somehow makes your tan look deeper ( when applied to your face). I have has so many compliments wearing it- I love it to death.

best

Perhaps you can send Tom Ford's PR company a link to this thread and all those who are saying 'ooh, must go and check it out' and see if you'll get some freebies... I had been using Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown (both people I like) but might check Tom out next time I see it.

I am just hoping that Tom Ford is going to come up with some matching nail polish for next season. I ADORE TOM FORD (prrr).

Mick Mac sweetie, it is you who is Not Our Class Darling - you know it!

Don't worry girls I shall try to take some sneaky pics of the new Tom Ford collection with my phone and if there is anything of note, I shall keep you up to speed!

For all the Tom Ford devotees;

There will be a limited edition nail, lip and compact perfume collection in Harvey Nichols from 4th October, a deep dark plummy colour - "evocative of the black orchid flower that inspired the scent" for ?90! The colour and scent are stunning.

Is it too early to start a Christmas list (admires fresh manicure)?

DM, this is very exciting news indeed. I'm very envious of your outing - do keep me posted if they send any samples your way that you find just aren't your colour.

In other news, people I like include the very lovely delivery guy at Gold Lee, who's so sweet he asked me if I was sure when I tried to tip him after making him come out to me in foul weather (not today, clearly).

    • @CPR Dave He needs to communicate collectively with all of the beneficiaries.  That is the whole point of my original post.  Electronic communications are the best way of doing this, as I am doing now on this forum.  Apart from the gold digger who will get a six figure sum the rest of us are on four figures, and that is going down by the day. I'm offended by any suggestion that we are not behaving well.  What on earth do you mean?
    • Surprise, surprise. It didn't take them long, did it. This will be something of a test as to how much the council really care about parks and the environment. A footfall of 60,000. Are they mad? There is no way this park is designed for or can sustain that sort of use. Just had a look at the schedule. If allowed to go ahead, this will involve a large slice of the park (not the common) sectioned off and out of use for three weeks of May and the first week of June. Here's an idea, why not trial the festival in one of the other Southwark Parks, so the 'goodness' can be shared around the borough?
    • There was another unprovoked attack on Monday this week on a young woman nearby (Anstey Road) at 6.45pm. Don't have any other details, it was posted on a Facebook group by her flatmate. Pretty worrying  https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EGfDrCAST/
    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.
