cate
What the hell have they done to this? It doesn't bear any resemblance to the original. The Gavin character is extremely unlikeable and I find it hard to believe that Pru would like him let alone marry him. SimonM
None of the characters is likeable - or even credible! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13257-bouquet-of-barbed-wire-remake/#findComment-360859 Share on other sites
DJKillaQueen
I hated it...thought it was terrible. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13257-bouquet-of-barbed-wire-remake/#findComment-360868 Share on other sites
cate
I gave up watching about the time I posted my first message. Tonight's episode was dreadful. What is up with British TV drama? Give me some Dexter, True Blood or Mad Men any day. DJKillaQueen
I struggled to get through the first episode. Thought the casting was all wrong......TV drama died when accountants and PA's took over from real creatives and Producers. TillieTrotter
Blimey, this brings back childhood memories of being put to bed early so that my mum could watch it in peace (it was too sexy for us kids apparently). Cassius
I loved the original - I think it was the first 'adult' drama I was allowed to watch - so deliberately avoided the remake. I had such a crush on James Aubrey.........sigh. brum
I remember thinking at the time of the original, 'how implausible - a gorgeous young girl falling for such an old git!'Of course now, as an old git myself, I find it entirely plausible!Oh! The folly of youth. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13257-bouquet-of-barbed-wire-remake/#findComment-361015 Share on other sites

Really shocked to find out he was English.
