ruffers
Saw The Cure 3 or 4 years ago at Wembley of all places, and they were brilliant. Genuinely just plain great, three hours of a band which just knows what they're doing. So am going again to RAH next week and hoping not to be disappointed. malumbu
I saw the Cure in 1980 and they were brilliant. Maybe even better in 84. I saw them again in 1986 and they were still pretty decent. All down hill from there, I could probably listen to one of the early albums like Pornography on the odd ocassion if pushed.I suppose my rather dismissive post is repeating what the older generation said about me after I saw the Who in 1979.Anyway onto contemporary matters - seeing O'Hooley and Tidow on Monday week at St Pancras Old Church a weel tomorrow wish I am looking forard to. mancity68
Anyone else t the Manics tonight in Brixton? I love that band. Maybe this wasn't the best gig by them I've ever seen - but hard not to enjoy every minute... El Pibe
Seems we erred on the side of caution on the buying frenzy when neutral milk hotel went on sale.Buggers then added two more dates, so we have 3 tix going spare for tonight's gig at the Roundhouse if anyone is interested. Mick Mac
Saw Arcade Fire last night at Hyde Park. I didn't really know much about them (a bit sad I know) but I have to say I have rarely enjoyed a gig more than I did last night and I have rarely seen so many happy people in one place. An amazing performance and will be buying the back catalogue. Otta
True. And girl bass players are always hot! Really enjoyed it, but tainted by breaking a string and being a bit limited after that.
