Hi Stacey,

Pop onto www.AHM-Go.com and fill in a health form, then email it back to [email protected] - its that simple.

Its completely FREE, just bring some change for a tea / coffee at the end. Also come along with two bottles of water which we use for arm, shoulder & back toning. We work to 400m sections at your pace, the faster ones circle back so we remain as a team.

Please put Sat, 10am, 21st Jan in your diary for our Dulwich Park, we are heading there for our FREE 2012 5Km & 3Km event to raise awareness for St Christophers Hospice. You can walk it, jog it, run it or a bit of all three :-)!

See you this Saturday, outside the Park Caf? on the Rye.

Best!

McCabe.

ps Fi, 10am :))

Hi Jenayr,

look forward to meeting you. I think you are now on the email list which I normally send out on Fridays but as there have been a few sign ups in recent days, I have sent out a couple of emails to welcome the new ones.

Just as I pressed SEND earlier, guess what?! a few more have signed up so will save these names till Friday.

Catch you then, and if not on the list PM me with your email details.

And...... for you and all, Amanda takes the Tue evening group which is also FREE!

McCabe.

Hi to all,

Its Friday afternoon and Rah Rah time, the usual reminder for tomorrow morning, meet for 10am by the caf? on the Rye - and bring..... two bottles of water or hand weights for arm, shoulder & back toning.

We've had a grand total of 10 new sign-ups this week, so the word is getting out!

For the new ones, here are a few additional related groups you can take up too:

* Tuesday, 7-30pm on the Rye / at the end of Barry Road - FREE! Amanda takes this group, a brilliant motivator & leader!

* Thurs, Tae Kwon Do. Check the EDF for the full details on cost and time, Amanda's son runs this - Commonwealth Silver medalist!

* Sun, 10am in Dulwich Park - Fitness Julia will give you a complete workout - only ?5 pay as you go. She trains the celebs of Dulwich.

I've requested for the weather to be crisp in the morning and with a wee bit of mist, lets see if it happens.

Hmm.... might spend a bit more time on legs tomorrow :))

If you are reading this and would like to be put on the email list, PM me or join the group by completing a health form on www.AHM-Go.com and email back to [email protected].

See you then and bring some change for a tea / coffee at the end :)-D!

BTW, I've picked up the typo's from the email..... fingers moving too fast.

Legs should be fine today, albeit you may find you have firm gluts (butt). Hope the new ones enjoys the session, it took me c.45-mins to nail everyones names.

Off to Wimbledon in a mo to put them through the same routine - will include jumping squats in a cirle - nice bit of team building :-)

McCabe

My pleasure!

Looking at c.100 people for next Saturday, will set everyone off in groups of 10 or so, walkers and little ones first, followed by gentle joggers, then joggers and finally those that want to do it a bit faster. This prohibits a swarm of runner from the start - but in fact helps to have everyone finish within a 10-min window.

If you are feeling good tomorrow eve, pop along to Amanda's FREE session on the Rye at 7-30pm - meeting point is by the Zebra Crossing / end of Barry Road.

Best!

McCabe

You Bet!

Weather looks good for tomorrow as well... we haven't had a bad Saturday in 9-months or so.

Email has been sent and two new ones added. If there is anyone who applied for the 5Km, it would be great to have you along to this group too - especially as you have filled in the health form.

Best!

McCabe

Weather is great for a workout, just a bit of a nip in the air.

Been shopping and will now take the dogs for a stroll, pick up a parcel from the post office for my daughter and then on the Rye for 10am. Oh what its like to be a parent :-)

See you guys at 10am.

Hi there,

Pop onto www.AHM-Go.com and fill in the health form, then email back to [email protected].

The group is FREE, just bring a 1 Ltr bottle (1 1/2 Ltr bottles are just a little too big) of water for arm, shoulder, lat core and back toning, or bring some hand weights. Bring some cash for a tea / coffee at the end.

Turn up for 10am on Saturday mornings at the caf? on the Rye, or.... Amanda takes the other group on Tuesday eve at 7-30pm, on the Rye at the zebra / end of Barry Road.

The group is also pretty funky too!

    • https://www.assistancedogs.org.uk/information-hub/assistance-dogs-emotional-support-dogs-and-therapy-dogs/   hello   i’d be interested to understand if anyone.has experience of Assistance Dogs especially for autistic children of different ages for emotional support and therapy   There was a prior thread on this topic on EDF 10 hrs ago but it had limited experiences and there was a (claimed) change in UK legislation in 2019. Whilst the industry appears unregulated/unlicensed, there are several providers (approx 15, perhaps more) who claim to have fully trained dogs or say that they can help families to train a puppy/young dog over the 18-24 months.  The latter obviously comes with a need for strong commitment to the challenge. Costs for a fully trained assistance dog are quoted at £13-15k albeit they claim £23k total cost to train the dog. On the one hand, this could potentially be a useful solution for some families if such a dog was truly trained as their websites claim and such a dog was accepted in public places and schools etc… On the other hand, I don’t think that I’ve ever seen an assistance dog of this type or in this context (only for a blind or partially sighted person) and hence a real risk of fraud or exploitation! The SEN challenge for families coupled with limited resources in schools or from local authorities or the NHS as well as the extremely challenging experience of many families with schools offering little or no support or making the situation worse leaves a big risk of lots of different types of fraud and or exploitation in this area.
    • Hi there  We live on Woodwarde Road backing on to Alleyns Top Field.  Our cat Gigi has gone missing — it’s been about 24 hours now. She is a cream Bengal. Could you please check sheds, garages, or anywhere she might have got stuck please? And if you could keep an eye out or share on any local groups/forums, we’d really appreciate it. Photo attached.   Thanks so much! My name is Jeff on 07956 910068.
    • Colin.    One for the old school.   Just saying.
    • Signed, and I will share it elsewhere, thank you for posting this. It's got nearly 70,000 signatures at present, and apparently runs till February.
