Has posting on this forum hindered your employment prospects?

Recommended Posts

Remember that there's no shame in posting a few thousand times on internet forums - only in deleting your posts afterwards, like a fool.

Moreover, if you're going to look at the porn, you might as well be having a w@nk as well. You're only fooling yourself otherwise. Think about it Alan. You're only fooling yourself.

No. In fact if I didn't periodically dip in and out of the threads on here over lunch I might end up caving one of my colleague's heads in with my magic mouse. So, posting (or at least reading) on this forum seems to have actually helped my employment prospects...and technically those of a number of my colleagues' as well :D

Oh possibly.

But there is significant mileage in Alan's inability to deal with his own past postings.

A head doctor would have a field day.

I read once that sociopaths show a consistent problem with looking in the loo after they've had a number 2. Apparently they can't accept 'this is wot I haz dun'.

There's nothing particularly pooey about Alan Dale's past postings, he just consistently made pronouncements that were consequently proved to be foolish.

Most of us have a chuckle and scratch our armpits, seeing both the humour in our ambition and rueing our misled convictions.

Not Alan Dale.

Alan Dale pretends it never fecking happened. IT NEVER FECKING HAPPENED RIGHT. FECKING PROVE IT. YOU CAN'T FECKING FIND IT. FECKING PROVE IT. I NEVER FECKING SAID THAT. IF YOU CAN'T FECKING FIND IT I NEVER FECKING SAID IT RIGHT. I'M FECKING RIGHT I SAID.

If Alan Dale wasn't such a tragedy I might even have a chuckle. ;-)

Ha ha Axeman. :))

There's a great scene in 'American Psycho' where Patrick Bateman flexes his bicep in the mirror whilst having sex, before pointing at himself in faux adulation.

It illustrates in one timeless moment the shallow pointless delusion of his life. He hides himself behind vacuous cartoon representations of masculinity. He has to admire himself, because he is so worthless and self-centred that he attracts no admiration from others.

He elevates himself above other people with a boastful petulance that precisely exposes his essential failure, he cannot accept that he is the architect of his own misery.

He attracts both disgust and pity in equal measure.

    • Hello All, Peckham Rye and Dulwich Hill Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) will be hosting a free bike marking event today outside of The Round - Peckham Rye Cafe, 12-2pm. Come along and get your bicycles marked and registered by the police to deter thieves. Or even to just stop by and have a chat to us about your area.
    • Another happy customer. Would recommend Lucasz. Good quality work and reasonable rate

    • Walking around, it looks to me as if weedkiller has been used, as some weeds have been left in situ but are dead. However, most of the weeds which have been (apparently)  killed in this way are hardly likely to lift pavements, being things like Shepherd's Purse. They might seed around, but I'm not sure what harm that does. I would like to know exactly what is the remit of the council workers who are tasked with dealing with weeds in pavements (and in tree pits?). Things like dandelions which have taproots (but are hard to remove in one piece)  have been left in the pavement,  whereas things like Toadflax (which don't, and are easy to just pull out) have been removed.
