Ooh, come over to Moos Towers for Halloween then, we love carved pumpkins! Have had some very cool ones in past years - I'll be looking to see whether I can keep the standards up.

Maybe I've been lucky, but the trick-or-treating we've had has always been brilliant. Very sweet little ones from about 4pm, getting bigger and hairier (we had a good werewolf last year) up to about 10pm but always nice and polite and up for a laugh.

tbh it's mostly just the kids from next door and around the estate, all jolly nice. I do tend to forget about it until it's too late and have to scrabble around for packets of crisps and things.

Right a think a pumpkin off is the order of the day. Lets post our efforts up on here in a bid to outdo not only each other but all our past efforts to date!!

    • Thanks ianr. Does everyone get the same Covid vaccine? Re your other things, I don't think the NHS records  are very joined up in various respects, despite (or because of?) the various NHS and GP apps. If you are in the vulnerable group for flu, and also for Covid, is there any reason why you are choosing to have one jab but not the other? Your choice of course, but as I understand it, both flu and Covid are expected to be very prevalent (can't think of the right word) in the UK this Winter?
    • So what you are saying is that shops encourage shoplifting as it is good for their business?  Rather a curious view. However.... for every stolen good there has to be a market, whether from a shop, burgled house, stolen bike so those buying knock off goods are guilty too.  As you infer. And one size doesn't fit all, petty shop lifting, kids being naughty, those desperate due to poverty - including addicts both to illegal substances and 'legal' including gambling, and those making a business out of it are very different.
