606 is on Radio 5 (five live) where they talk about football matches

Craft beer should be consigned to room 101, or at least the use of the term. Designer beer is a better term.

I don't care about Ramones T shirts as I saw them a couple of times.

I saw Joy Division too so I don't need the T shirt of Unnown Pleasures.

I didn't see Bowie on his Ziggy tour or the Who at Leeds or the Beatles at Shay stadium or Stone Roses at that island so don't need T shirts of that either.

East Dulwich Forum??

Damn, there goes my self-imposed exile.

Band T-shirts are not just gig souvenirs though, malumbu, it's about nailing your colours to the mast. Not that I often wear band Ts these days, it's more of a youth thing I guess, but sometimes it feels appropriate.

As for the term "craft beer"... I agree it doesn't really mean much here, where we already have a history of small independent breweries, and the distinction from real ale breweries is getting rather blurred. But it made sense in the states and many other countries, where the only beer most people knew was tasteless mass produced lager.

If you like 'em wear it - Topshop shouldn't get to ruin your fun. Philip Green can do one, I'm still wearing my punx tees.

Drum-machines ??

Wearing my Husker Du T in the office today. Under my zipped-up hoody.. it's a bit chilly. Decided against wearing my Bad Religion 'Crossbuster' T.. too many Christians in this place, someone would probably report me to HR.

    • Thanks jazzer, jazzer,  Jazzer 😀 I don't know either of those pubs, believe it or not, so I will google the Heaton Arms, thank you (and thanks for the tip about the easiest way!) ETA: Well, I googled it and apparently it was demolished in 2005 🤣 but I guess it was somewhere near Heaton Road. ETA again: It looks like I can get a 63 or 363 from the stop near the end of Barry Road, so assuming that's open that would be easier.
    • Niko hardly needs another recommendation but we use him regularly. He's good value, he turns up when he says - or tells you if he can't - and definitely knows what he is doing.
    • Ian the guy who used to own the garage left last year. The place is run by someone else now. Ian was our reliable mechanic for many years, a sad loss. We now use Turners on Barry Road.
    • Agreed that Niko is really good: he was helpful and explained everything in detail, and did a good job fixing the problem I had. He was also honest rather than trying to drum up a bigger (more expensive) job for himself by telling me everything needed replacing etc. He charged a very reasonable rate. Will definitely call him when I need a plumber again and would recommend!
