'bout now
It's not going to ED though. Denmark Hill I think. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13954-phase-2-of-the-east-london-line-extension/#findComment-375570 Share on other sites
zeban
Think it's going to Peckham Rye though. I hope I'm not wrong! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13954-phase-2-of-the-east-london-line-extension/#findComment-375572 Share on other sites
Bic Basher
The ELL will call at Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye with 4 trains per hour (every 15 minutes) to Clapham/Dalston Junction. It'll also replace the current Southern London Bridge to Victoria service. EDKiwi
There's a map on the link Jeremy posted, looks like the line split/joins at Surrey Quays. Keef
It won't connect with HOP, it's not really an "extention of the ELL", it's just another branch of the London Overground network. It'll go from Clapham, through Denmark Hill / Peckham, on to Surrey Quays (where you could catch one to HOP). h3+
I was in the pub with some engineers types a month or so back and they said they were bidding to do the work and that it was going ahead. Apparently most of it is already in place so it is not a big or expensive thing to do. So they'll be 2tph provided by Southeastern to Victoria as now from PR and DH as well as the 2tph to Kentish Town (extended to Bedford in peaks) via Elephant and the 4tph to Clapham and Dalston.Once the Southern service closes in 2012, passengers from DH will either have to change at Peckham Rye for LB or Canada Water via the Jubilee Line.
