Really??

I went there in the summer and thought the food was very mediocre. They welcome kids yes, but that doesn't make up for the dismal food. My husband had pasta which was quite nice but I had a pizza which if you'd told me it was a frozen one from Iceland I wouldn't have been surprised. I certainly won't be returning

Sorry to say I was very unimpressed with the food at Si Mangia; and I really wanted to like it because its so handy for where we live. But being child-friendly and convenient aren't good enough reasons for us to return, I don't think. Unless it has improved tremendously in the past year or so?

Been eating there a occasionally for years and both kids and adults have loved it. Never eaten pizza though as my oldest has said "why eat pizza at a place that does not specialise in it" (his cue for suggesting Pizza Express) so, they eat all the other yummy stuff on the menu (they love the prawns, pasta, bruschetta and gnocci).

Afraid we went a couple of months ago following reviews we'd read on the forum (actually our first meal out for probably at least 2 years - eek!) and we were really disappointed. The food was mediocre at best - we cook as good ourselves at home - and very little in the way of meat. We used to love the Italian on East Dulwich Road and was really hoping it'd be similar.

I can see it being a good place with the kids and may go back for that. But not one for an adult meal for us.

I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.

If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
