Internets great for shopping,chatting,watching films,online gaming,catching up on news,putting your voice in the net so to speak!

but have to agree it can eat into your time if your not aware of it!.

I think it's an amazing medium. The content is of course variable - there's lots of crap, but lots of useful/fun stuff too.

Saying that the internet is a waste of time is a bit like saying books, newspapers, movies, music, phone calls, writing letters, etc are all a waste of time.
