pk
i reckon that if you're heavyweight champion of the world (or one of them) and you've actually got a bit of 'personality' then you should win - step up David Haye

Jeremy
I'd be happy with either Amy Williams or Jessica Ennis. Or in an ideal world, both of them.
Cassius
The word 'Personality' should be used with caution.Mark Cavendish did very well - I think he won more stages in the Tour de France than any other Englishman so has really achieved a lot............ but how many people are interested in the TdF? Mick Mac
David Beckham - a lifetime achievement award? that is rather strange. I have voted for Graeme McDowell and Tony McCoy. Tony McCoy probably deserves a lifetime achievement award for his long term achievements but winning the grand national was the icing in the cake for his career to date. Graeme McDowell for me deserves a shout for having won the US Open at Pebble Beach - most golfers who have watched the US players like Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus fight it out over that course in the 70's and 80's know what a great achievement that was. As well, Portrush has needed a champion to put it back on the world golfing map. Coincidentally, both McDowell and Tony McCoy are from Co Antrim, so I'd be happy for either of them to win. mockney piers
Oh god. Just switched this on to see Beckham dedicate an award for a third of a lifetime kicking a ball, ,to the men and women in Afghanistqn.Hmmm, ok.And now Ms Jenkins (phwooar) doing a painfully mawkish death list thing.Am I in a parallel world, when did the BBC start going all....well.....ITV on us?I'm off to bed I thnk. 'bout now
Tony Mccoy gets it and I think rightly so. Highlight for me was Phil Taylors fantastic reaction to coming second, a true personality shining through. Shame he's not involved in sport;-)

Huguenot
I can't believe that 42% of the population knows who Tony McCoy is. Sounds a bit Mugabe to me ;-)Either that, or people reading the back page of the Mirror in between races with their pay-as-you-go mobile to hand...
