Has anyone filled their tank recently?

Mine was half full and so I topped it up to find it took fifty quid,

where as a full tank was about ?80 a few weeks back!

A petrol watch thingy that I'm on lists Tesco just past Horniman as cheapest, with Murco on East Dulwich Road as second, for local stations.

Goodness PGC I thought that Morrisons had the cheapest, now I shall call into hornimans Tesco, or East dulwich rd.

Haven't been on petrol site for ages, so just checked. When I said Tesco, I meant Esso! Here's the breakdown (Morrisons have moved into second place):

I feel for the poor souls who use heating oil (to heat their homes, mainly in rural areas with no gas). Prices have risen 70% in a few weeks.

My sister filled her oil tank in September for 42 pence a litre now it's 85 pence, great profit if you can get it.

What website is that for cheap petrol in your area?

Otherwise I shall check on here.

I heard on Radio 4 a prog about whiskey that it costs about 40p to put the whiskey in the bottle, the rest is tax and reasonable profits for the company.

The government taxes about 80% (I think?) for the petrol?

Thanks for posting the cheaper places - don't forget that driving the extra miles to the cheaper petrol may not make economical sense!

Yes Tarot it appears that now the snow is gone the petrol thieves are back. Our scooters tank was drained again last night, as was our neighbours. And I thought they had given up after we stopped leaving any decent amount of fuel in it ...
