I have begun to hear from good sources a lot of things I don?t like the sound of.

aaahh I see macroban - I thought your initial post was a reference to a conversation you had with Ko and not a post. I just did a search and found the quote

A bit odd to drop that sentence at the end of a long post about pharmacies I agree - then again it was between 3 and 4:30 am this morning.. If I'm awake thinking about "stuff" at that hour I usually inflates it's importance

Any clarification Ko?

Give me strength. Would you like me to make it clearer and say "While I am on the topic of the PCT, I have begun to hear from good sources about various PCT plans which I don't like the sound of". I was going to repeat them but then thought the forum might not like me repeating rumours, even if they are from good sources. Would you like me to delete that sentence altogether if its confusing? I'll do that then. Sorry, but I'm not perfect. I was posting while having a bad bout of insomnia (hence being up at 3am!) I have never been a fan of the PCT, full stop. I don't like the way that, in my opinion, they frequently try to bulldoze their plans through without adequate consultation. I once met with the PCT and the senior person I met with reminded me of a dodgy salesman. He also kept looking blank whenever anything of substance was talked about.

Macroban, why pick out quotes and start a new thread? - its just as confusing and just odd!!!

Macroban, If you didn't understand the point, just say so. I'd have been happy to clarify and edit things to make it clearer if that was the case.

In my opinion, your thread takes a quote and confuses things further - at least for me :)). Lets make it easier. From reading the title of this new post, I didn't even realise it was about something I said. I don't open all threads, but luckily I did open this one and so I could clarify.

The message is:

That there are known knowns,

There are things we know that we know,

There are known unknowns,

That is to say there are things that we now know, we don't know

But there are also unknown unknowns,

There are things we do not know we don't know

And each year we discover a few more

Of those unknown unknowns.

Outrageous! I've been lounged without knowing it! I have just stumbled across this at 5.57AM. I was wondering where this thread had gone. Are you all trying to confuse me? ;-) And to think, I wouldn't have even noticed this if the BBC Gardening board wasn't closed...

Well Mr Admin, I suggest you unlounge this right now, yes right now before the dark forces come to get you!

Oh, hang on, actually my confusion is becoming unconfused! I've not been lounged! It wasn't my thread to begin with!! Phew. Well that's better then! I will happily tell you everything I've heard next time I see anyone! Does anyone know what time the gardening board opens? I always think they go to bed too early and sleep in far too much.

    • Re Day One, £52 for a short hair cut (cut & styling) and £72 for a long hair cut (cut & styling) which I believe is below the ears.  £38 for a blow dry which doesn’t appear to be included in the cut price as it’s not mentioned.  £15 for a fringe tidy.      I remember being startled to be charged separately for a blow dry by the salon that used to be in Melbourne Grove but is now closed down.  I was asked if I wanted a blow dry after the cut and highlights and said yes, but wasn’t told that I would be charged separately.  Only found out when I went to pay the bill.    Was offered a voucher on a further appointment.    De.Salon which used to be Cut-Throat in Peckham (Choumert Rd and Brixton) charge from £45 for a Short haircut that finishes by the ears.  They charge from £40 for any haircut that finishes below the jawline.  Their prices include a blow dry.  But if you have thick hair they charge an extra £15 for every additional 15 minutes for cutting.     I had my hair cut there before the name change.  I don’t understand the from part of the price. Had a look at the Blue Tit pricing which is very complicated. They charge depending on the stylist’s  experience.  Crab Salad in Peckham  -  short hair cut above the ear - from £69.    Long hair Cut below the ear from £80. Blow dry not mentioned as being included in the cut but is priced at £55 I noticed that Kuki charge different prices for men and women.  Doesn’t seem right if a woman has short hair and a man has long hair.   I used to go to a great salon in NW London  that charged the same price for men and women and stopped going when they upped their prices for women.
