Go to metacritic. It will give you a wide range of reviews and give you an immediate idea of the breadth of opinion, including gamespot and ign.

Have you got a PC? Get old copies of baldurs gate and neverwinter nights. They'll give you a cople of hundred house of absolutely huge worlds with epic storylines for about six pounds each and they aren't graphically demanding at all.

He loves the first (modern era) prince of Persia, super mario galaxy did ok, as did braid and COD4 wasn't far off a big thumbs up. Anything else can more r less be summer up as scathing contempt.

Mind you I think he's basically spot on roughly 100% of the time!

The guys a legend, since discovering him via this forum I look forward to his weekly reviews, guarenteed to cheer me up no end :)

...and I have to agree with mockney piers, I think he's generally spot on with most of his reviews....although I am a fan of RTS games which he seems to loath.

Well at least you didn't write in and ask where you can buy a copy of Duke Nukem Forever....check out the letter of the week at the end of this weeks review

Bionic Commando Review

Have to say Alan Wake looks pretty good, will keep an eye out for it when it comes out.

my first iPhone/touch game recommendation, which actually stands up as a game and makes good use of the touch screen is Zen Bound

It's sublime, great music and weirdly fascinating, plus the music is then a free download from iTunes.

Basically select a little wooden carving hanging from a tree and wrap it in paint soaked string to paint it.

That's pretty much it but it just works!

IGN give it 95%

    • Sue My point being that if you experience something that could potentially be sorted by a GP, you might feel it necessary to go to A&E, which would be clogged up due to the doctors strike.  Just my opinion, but I don't really see that its necessary to close a surgery for half a day for staff training.
    • A huge shout-out to Andy! He’s helped us several times now and is an absolute gem. He doesn't just do the easy jobs; he finds solutions to the difficult, non-obvious problems that others might miss. He is very hard working, incredibly friendly, great with pets, and always leaves the place better than he found it. 10/10!
    • Here to add my voice to those praising Temi. She just painted my dilapidated home office in ED and did a fantastic job in just two days in a much lighter colour, including woodwork, damp blocker and filling holes. She's efficient, on time and I barely heard a peep out of her; she just got on with the job. I recommend her wholeheartedly.
    • The residents & families of the estate are getting parking fines,  out of the blue , the residents parking system waa changed from Southern to Sippi with cameras put up in the car park and people issued with fines entering the estate for more then 10 minutes , families can no longer pick up or drop off family due to a new 10 minute wait fine. Residents are appealing with Sippi and Southern as there was no letters to consult of a parking change,  new waiting times or fines, delivery drivers are getting fines everyday,  if you get a fine,  appeal it, there is no signage up to say about parking fines or waiting time
