right, so that level. Am I the only one who thinks that the next time therenis either a Mumbai style atrocity or a columbine style massacre that a big fuss will be made about this game?

I guarantee with the latter they'll find a copy of it in their house (mind you I'm currently 2,500,000th in the online leaderboards, that doesn't include people who play offline, and that's after three days on the Market!!)

they won mention that everyone of those massacres was perpetrated by someone who had a fridge in their house though will they.


On the other hand, I can believe some bitter nihilistic teen that goes on to a shooting spree will probably play that scene with a little too much glee!

Alrighty, I've decided it's high time I got myself a decent PC once again (moving into a bigger place with actual room for a desktop helps too..), but it's been a few years since I built my last decent gaming PC and things have moved on somewhat.


In the past I've been an AMD and Nvidia man, but only because they seemed to be the best bang for buck at the time, it looks like the Intel i7 is a good bet now, but the graphics side of things is making my head hurt....what have people out there got, what do you reccomend?

Nvidia, ATI, 2 cheaper cards in crossfire/SLI, one more expensive card? Is Nvidias PhysX worth it or just a short lived gimmick?

Hell no! Got an upgrade. New XBox with 250 GB drive, dual controllers & Modern Warfare 2 as a package deal. Buying all the bits separately would have been two thirds the cost of the package. Hence a well looked after XBox for sale, just in time for Christmas.

Yeah Bioshock is loads of fun, my copy has been gathering dust since completing it tho so I'm happy to pass it on to someone else.


Hopefully will get some more time on Modern Warefare 2 in the new year when we move house, sharing the xbox with the only TV in the house is seriously impeding my game time at the moment.

Ed - can you convince Mockney to play Bipshock some more until the big reveal at least


I agree with him that the gunplay is teh weakest aspect of the game and it flags a little before picking up for the reveal - but that moment is worth it alone...

      So Boris Johnson goes on an unhinged rant about the deal using violent gimp imagery (an image repeated by other brexiteers), and I comment on it but it’s MY language you are policing? how come it’s not Johnson and his language you  are commenting on?

      Nope that concern predates the Jerk festival.  But I am talking about when I first moved to SE London and some locals complained that the nice music was too loud. Separately some people are still moaning about the Jerk festival,  Felt some comments were (casual) racist, but that is a different subject matter. That day was great,  A victim of its own success. A kin to Fatboy Slim playing a free festival on Brighton beach, tens of thousands went but it took a long long time to clean up.
