zeban
They do at John Harvard Library in Borough Tarot, although I have to say I find that library a bit stressful, loads of little screaming children running around- although I love children it doesn't make it a very peaceful place if you want to do some reading in there or use the computer. I quite like the way most Southwark Libraries have a separate room as the childrens library. Applespider
Wow! You've actually inspired me to go and join the library - I'd assumed (wrongly) that it would only be open during daytime hours and certainly didn't expect Sunday opening.So... anyone who can tell me (since I can't spot it on the Southwark website) what I'd need to take along in order to join? (i.e. how many bits of ID that are photographic and/or have proof of address?) Edit - After more of a wander around the site, I've found it here. One bit of ID with your current address - and fill in a form. You can even do it online and get it posted out to you. And, another thing I didn't realise, is that it allows you to borrow from any library in England/Wales/Northern Ireland. Keef
I must admit I rarely visit the library, but my wife definitely does, and since having our daughter, the local library has been invaluable! wee quinnie
Libvaries are fabilis! Dulwich Lib is generally quite good for a chilled out read - however I do find that when I am looking for books - they are more likely to be "on loan" from Dulwich than the other branches. I still love it though. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15347-do-you-love-libraries/page/2/#findComment-403778 Share on other sites
daizie
LIBRARIES. Minimise thefts by attaching string to all your books. Simply wind the string in when they are due back. Guest
I'm a regular and a big fan of Dulwich Lib. I've often wondered why they don't have a permanent thread on here.
