lisaloulou84
Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) and Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont) from Game of Thrones, both separetly but furniture from me in Oliver Bonas last month. edcam
Rather indiscreet, talking about who your well-known customers are, isn't it? Or is it an Oliver Bonas policy? If I were in their shoes it would make me feel a tad uncomfortable. lisaloulou84
Not policy, just a Game of Thrones fan who was excited to serve them commenting on a tongue in cheek thread. I think if I were a famous ED resident, I'd be more uncomfortable about my local pub being outed as per many of the posts on this thread, I doubt any Game of Thrones megafans are going to camp outside the shop hoping they might pop in again. edcam
It's still very indiscreet and inappropriate for someone who works in a shop to do this. Bic Basher
It really isn't a major issue. People go to Sainsbury's/Oliver Bonas to shop, not to hunt for celebrities. Mick Mac
It's what a celebrity comes to expect surely. Unless of course they were buying a sofa for their secret lover and have been famously outed. Sliding doors and it could all so easily have been so different. edcam
They might expect to be recognised, of course but for an employee of a shop they visit to report this on a public forum is not acceptable. alice
so another customer could have 'reported' this and would've been ok? whats the difference - a shop is a public place. Mick Mac
In general actors like to perform. Its what attracts them to acting in the first place surely. They don't tend to be shrinking violets who fear being recognised. Seabag
Stephen Mangan in Rocca in DVIn a big big family group, everyone suitabley ignored him whilst mouthing 'look it's the guy from Green Wing/Postman Pat/Adrian Mole/Episodes' behind their menusMy other half had to be 'calmed' lightly, but she recovered well. And I'm greatful she didn't do the classic "Look behind you, it's the guy from The Jam" Like she did when we were in Maida Vale"Where, what Paul Weller?"
