Not policy, just a Game of Thrones fan who was excited to serve them commenting on a tongue in cheek thread. I think if I were a famous ED resident, I'd be more uncomfortable about my local pub being outed as per many of the posts on this thread, I doubt any Game of Thrones megafans are going to camp outside the shop hoping they might pop in again.

They might expect to be recognised, of course but for an employee of a shop they visit to report this on a public forum is not acceptable.

Well that would have been creepy too but at least it wouldn't be unprofessional.

I know actors better than you might imagine and this is true to a degree. But they're not public property, nobody is.

Stephen Mangan in Rocca in DV

In a big big family group, everyone suitabley ignored him whilst mouthing 'look it's the guy from Green Wing/Postman Pat/Adrian Mole/Episodes' behind their menus

My other half had to be 'calmed' lightly, but she recovered well.

And I'm greatful she didn't do the classic "Look behind you, it's the guy from The Jam"

Like she did when we were in Maida Vale

"Where, what Paul Weller?"

As I turned round and bumped into Paul fekkin Weller getting out of his Mini

Do NOT make any eye contact/smile/knowingly engage with 'The Toksvig'

She's very seriously 'I'm not public property' famous

Jimmy Nesbitt shouldn't be considered a sighting unless he is armed with an axe and b*ll*ck naked chasing someone along Lordship Lane.

    • Thanks very much, that's really interesting. I feel better about the shredded paper not being recycled now! And even better that I can get it out of the house and into the green bin! I will save a bit for future composting though  (and homemade seed paper, thanks Peckhamgatecrasher) x
    • Hello. I think we have found him! Sending you a DM with my phone number.
    • That's fantastic news. Good on him.
    • I pass here almost every day and have never seen the local business struggle to load. There's plenty of space as things are.    Seems to me this is just the meddling council being ****heads yet again. These are their reasons: "BAWDALE ROAD Goose Green add a total of 35m new 'DYLs' on both sides south-east of its junction with Lordship Lane (22m on the side of No. 157 Lordship Lane, 3m o/s No. 2 Bawdale Road, and 10m opposite No.2 Bawdale Road) to protect access for large vehicles coming to collect from and deliver goods to the nearby businesses"   Consultation here: https://consultation.appyway.com/southwark/order/1c3a8926-8f51-47e1-8460-2727fec6d895
