Posted March 18, 2011 Share Posted March 18, 2011 I think that GPs dish out the anti-biotics at the drop of a hat partly for Placebo/and or to get parents with ill kids of their backs as I believe ABs are only really effective against infection not viruses (I belive as a layman - and medicals please put me right) so she may have a viral infection.
