A further recommendation here for Aaron. We found his details on the forum, he came round gave a very reasonable quote to do a whole room (including ceiling) and started approx a week later. Was quick, efficient, clean and barely stopped for breaks. Covid safe working practices and came across as a decent hardworking chap. Gave some good advice on problem with another ceiling and had his work cut out with our less than perfect walls. Will definitely use again if/when needed. Call him on 07773 410661.

Another recommendation here for Aaron. Aaron was available at short notice to price the job. He gave a clear break down of costs and the work involved. His price was reasonable and his work to a high standard. He was consciousness, tidy and an all round nice guy. Should I need any more walls plastered in the future, he'll be my first call.

Thanks again Aaron. Jonny.

Aaron just finished boarding and plastering our kitchen. He did a great job. His work is extremely tidy and corners are very close to right angles. Also, it took little prep work to decorate his walls and they were easy to work on, as they had a really professional finish. I believe those are the trademarks of a top plasterer.

He is also a nice guy with a diverse music taste, so he can be left in charge of the playlist as well.

Highly recommend.

Another recommendation for Aaron, my neighbour recommended him. He came when he said he would, and did a good job patching and plastering a ceiling in the hallway that was about to come down. A refreshingly honest and nice chap to have around with an eclectic music taste. Highly recommended.

Just had Aaron plaster various walls & ceilings in kitchen, bathroom & porch - all done to extremely high standard!   So straight & smooth with no blemishes - ready to paint once dry.   Very friendly guy too.  100% recommended!

Aaron was able to fit us at short notice to plaster our kitchen when another plasterer let us down.

As others said the finish is pretty exceptional, price was very reasonable and very nice guy. We won't hesitate to have him back for future jobs.

This is the fourth time we have used Aaron- amazing finish every time. More recently, we used him to remedy another plasterer?s work (came through a fully managed build and design company) which was awful. I?ve had other trades comment on the level of finish too. Highly recommended 07773 410661

***** Adding to this chorus of recommendation for Aaron rather than starting a new thread - Aaron completed a much-needed repair to the ceiling and substantial plastering repairs to a main wall and around windows - excellent job.  He explained things in an easy to understand way, went above & beyond when the job needed extra work, affordable and didn't mind looking at a few extra things.  No hesitation to recommend!

    • But Thatcher is dead. Nobody since has brought the utilities back under public ownership (if that's the right term). So there are many people who could be blamed. Meanwhile the shareholders get richer and everyone else gets increasing bills and a poorer service. Plus as said above, a massive waste of a limited resource like water. Not to mention the polluted rivers and seas. At least the privatisation of the railways is being reversed. Hopefully water may be on the list somewhere.
    • That's really helpful. Do the Community Councils still exist? It sounds to me that whoever the contact is on the council who has sorted out the North Cross Road notice board and put the new list of councillors in it must at least have access to the key for that one? Unless it was one of the unlocked ones. And of course if somebody knows where the keys are, they may have no idea that people are looking for them or that this forum thread exists. Which are the notice boards which are not locked?  The very helpful locksmith near the station (?Callows?)  might be able to provide keys for them, or if not, new locks, in return for some local publicity? In fact, they may be able to advise in general, rather than keep trying unresponsive people at the council. But then of course there is still the question of who is going to take responsibility for putting appropriate East Dulwich community information into them and updating it as necessary.
    • Our residents' association used to have keys many moons ago, but when locks were changed, we tried everyone (including ward councillors) to get keys to no avail. A couple of boards are not locked. The Community Councils originally paid for all the notice boards in Dulwich. May have come under the Cleaner Greener budget.
    • Blame Margaret Thatcher - she started the privatization of public utilities.
