It's in a Honneymoon period that's is.Unless the up their game.I'm angry because I wasted my time money and effort. My 13 year old son can cook better pasta sauce than those muppets. Guest
I just think it would be fair to let the local market decide rather than trying to ruin their reputation for them via a local online forum, Fazer71. If you were so unhappy, did you tell the manager at the time and refuse to pay?Haven't been there myself yet but calling the food 'garbage' doesn't exactly sound like a considered judgement. fazer71
My post was meant as a warning to anyone thinking of visiting.Rocca.If you want a good lunch locally my experience is The Thai corner caf? "when open", Ganapati Indian ?Peckham? and The Palmerston "50% too expensive but excellent".I was in Rocca for a business lunch so not about to spoil my business relationship because the food was rotten, with a chat to the manager. No mileage in that.I emailed them after and I've had zero response. Why don?t you go there and report back.I'd be delighted to hear that you'd had delicious pasta. But my experience was a supermarket sauce in a jar would have been haute cuisine by comparison.Possibly the majority of customers don?t know what a good plate of pasta should taste like?Or as I mentioned it may just be the water in the village, the Piaf was just as bad.My guess is Rocca needs to pay more for the ingredients and get better Chef?s. Asset
I've been a couple of times now (please excuse my lack of imagination). Pasta is good IMO but I know others who don't like it as it's a bit too 'whole'.Menu is a bit restricted for non-meat eaters so have only had the olive oil and garlic sauce with the pasta. They do it well for a very minimal sauce.I had a pizza there yesterday that I thought was really good. Not sure what Fazer's on about, pizza was a tad more authentic than the ones in Pizza Express that actually bear little relation to pizzas in Italy. Got nothing against Pizza Express either - you know what you're gonna get, nice and safe. Not really worth getting worked up about it one way or the other.
