Planning an Italian getaway when LO is 10 months old before returning to work.

We have a full-on Mamas & Papas travel wotsit which is totally impractical to take away.

Can you recommend a buggy to take? Hoping to get something cheap and cheerful second hand that's light!

thanks

Try looking at the Obaby buggies (they do the whole range on Kiddicare). I've got one of these as my car/holiday buggy and its great. Does everything a maclaren does (the Atlas sport is fully reclinable too so suitable from birth) at a fraction of the price.

I've not had it long enough to comment on the durability compared to a maclaren, but reading up before I bought it I found that Obaby makes parts for many other manufacturers (including Maclaren), so I'm hoping it will stand the test of time!

Second the obaby - we got a new obaby sport for about ?45 and it's been great for travels & hols. It folds up really easily, reclines totally flat (great for taking sleeping bubba out for dinners & holiday drinkies at night, ours didn't wake up once despite getting bumped over cobbles). Have my lovely bugaboo for at home use & figured that I didn't need to go mad on an expensive second / travelling buggy.
with buggies like Quests is it still easy for the little one to have a long nap in it? Guess babies really can sleep anywhere and in anything, but I just wondered with the cheap folding buggies if they're good for transporting babies around but maybe not so good for napping in?
Thanks all for these. Great advice. She's not the greatest napper when we're out due to being incredibly nosey and wanting to watch everything that's going on, so anything that reclines well and blocks her view as much as poss will be great as there's a hope she'll sleep. I'll look into these :-)

I've a quest and it's great as a car boot / holiday buggy. Also, maclarens come with a 10 year guarantee which is pretty good, shows how hardwearing they are.

I went to John Lewis at Bluewater and looked at them all, the Techno did seem to be quite significantly bigger, fine if an everyday buggy but not so convenient for my needs. The John Lewis assistant I spoke with rated the quest too, she steered me away from the Obaby's, said they had a lot of returns as they don't last very long..... Not really an issue if an occasional use buggy.

The best method is to hang individual feeders inside a wire  cage that has a 2"x2" mesh on all sides that is mounted above ground. Being above ground it stops slugs and rats getting in. And with mesh on the bottom, the risk of transmitting disease from any droppings is eliminated. Small birds feel safe from predators in three These cages are available online for about £33
