Inside 72 - someone's birthday today?

I've already mentioned in the past how much I like this place but when we popped in this evening for a couple we seem to have stumbled upon the best 3-day-ongoing-party ever. Lot's of regulars in various stages of "dehydration" and the sound system at great volume. Was it someone's birthday?

If it wasn't for work tomorrow I would have joined in properly

oh yes, walked past at about 7pm tonight and the door kept opening and Bob Marley boomed out .. and I thought 'god I want to be in there' . unfortunately the brats would not have been allowed entrance

Cool bar. One of the best but I am at the age when I can't be bothered to squeeze in and even if I did I'd probably spend the night wondering why I couldn't hear the conversation and thinking about going to the Bishop where I know I can sit down.

Nothing to do with age Charlie, that's always been my problem with it. I really really like it in there, and would call it my favourite bar on LL, but when it gets really busy, I actually feel really uncomfortable.

Sure someone said on here there was a rumour they were going to extend out back or upstairs or something... That would be cool!

This sounds like a lot of fun. Wish I'd popped in over the weekend. I seemed to have cut down on my trips to Inside 72 since the smoking ban came in. I like to get a seat at the bar - in between the speakers - for maximum stereo effect. Very good sound system in there and they play some great stuff. Barmaids are cool too.

I think there's been quite few lookers in there working as barmaids since it first opened it's doors to the public. Not all of them have lasted long but there's one or two who seem to have been there for the duration. Candy springs to mind. Top girl.

Glad to hear the staff in Inside 72 are a bit better these days - went there a couple of years ago, not long after it opened. and the bar staff were super-surly.
