The Missing with local sleb James Nesbit. I was sceptical but actually it's very well done and the final scene of episode one sent proper chills down my spine.

I can't think of a murder/mystery thriller that isn't contrived btw, it kind of goes with the territory, it's why it's called drama.

A new drama with Michael Palin, I thought, that'll be fun i thought.

Holy god, anything that can make the Fall look brightly lit and cheery in comparison.....

That said, I'll be stoking the fire up next week and carrying on with it.

A programme needs to be really good to hold my attention these days & unfortunately wasn't doing it for me.

So half way through just had to switch off.

It was basically woman in black meets Ring.

But a pity you didn't gel, some genuinely good, if a little clich?d scares there, proper goose bumps.

As a horror fan though I thought they'd crafted a lovely atmosphere, and one look at la piba suggested it hit home as she physically sunk into her top to protect herself.

What did you think of the 'Woman in Black' film with Daniel Radcliffe? Also have you seen the play? Both very good i thought.

I liked the film. Not seen the play.

I liked it too, I manically consumed hammer productions as a boy, and always thought 80s gore, 90s psychological horror or noughties slick j-horror inspired fiilms lost something of the magic that hammer had in spades.

So thrilled to see them return with that film. never saw the play but loved the book.

It did have a few cheap scares, but did a good job of capturing the books immensely creepy atmosphere and period feel. Also vrey true to the hammer aesthetic.

Radcliffe very good too frankly.

My sister saw the play years ago and said it was very creepy.

I've actually got it on hard drive, but just haven't found an evening where I fancied being frightened.

I am a bit of a scaredycat when it comes to creepy things. I keep looking over my shoulder until the sun comes up the next day.

I used to love a good horror, but now I've got enough stress in my life, my heart doesn't need anything else making it miss a beat.

I like a psychological thriller better.

Oh, and The Ring (American version), that was awesome.
