Senor Chevalier
Snowboarder. As of half an hour ago, trains were still coming through from London Bridge fast to East Dulwich and then the usual stops, but diverted to East rather than West Croydon.Decided to abandon the bike and meet the wife and get the train together based on the posts on this thread... mynamehere
I agree with the posters who want to go in a block and tell everyone to go home. It isn't the police's fault and it isn't the economy. I teach in Peckham and these are kids from my classes and there are other people here who know them and they belong for the most part to normal families who cannot in a pinch control them. I teach Maths and when I try to teach I cannot control some of my pupils who are intent on stopping everyone's learning. The same kids who are dead centre looting refuse to learn and squander opportunity when they are showered with it. The police should be supported by all of us walking to the problem and all the parents who know their kids are not at home have to get out there and get them home. None of us are perfect not teachers or police or parents. Life isn't a game show or a lottery which is what all the kids are allowed to think. They don't want to learn and work because they think that's for suckers. michael1967
They should lock up all these thugs, they dont represent ordinary people who struggle to pay bills and put food on the table, they are just using the shooting of mark duggan as an excuse to steal because they want everything for nothing. I work in lewisham and will be inspecting the damage there tomorrow.... Applespider
Is all the 24-hour coverage on the news helping or hindering? Is it encouraging others to go out and create havoc and get their 15 minutes of fame? Is it giving them ideas on what to do to cause maximum damage - I know I've been educated on the best way to set a car on fire after watching the news. Jose
> This sort of thing just pushes further and further> into the future any decision by Waitrose to open> on Lordship Lane. Waitrose plans take a twist with a space soon to be available at the Tesco on ED Road. Seriously, do people riot when a member of the public kills another member of the public? Grotty
apparently both tesco's broken into. Just spoke to a friend who is at The Rye pub (tables and chairs up against the doors) - on their way in a group of yoofs were handing out scratchcards they'd nicked from one of the tesco's.... KidKruger
I heard on LBC that Turkish men on Stoke Newington Lane are guarding their businesses standing outside with baseball bats. They should give the UK some training in how not to be walked over.
