1 nil down, two one up. Any more?

Took my 9 months preggers wife and her arsenal cousin there last night for his birthday.

Good game, Tom loved the stadium and he was impressed the view (upper tier west stand, yes that's the west stand not the Dr Martens stand, we'd never go in for all that tawdry sponsorship nonsense).

Behrami and kovac ran the show for an hour but were clearly exhausted and arsenal took advantage of the acres of space that opened up in midfield. It looked to me like arsenal played to their game plan and hats off tothem it was a good victory. Our bare bones squad didn't take all their earlier chances. It could have been 3-0 at half time with more experienced strikers on, but we didn't and it wasn't it.

Still, quality FA Cup fare.

Touchy, very touchy. One nil and you fcuked it up. Where's your sense of humour gone, it must be there. It's a pre requisite of being an Irons fan, after all aren't you too good to go down?

Well it has to be on some trophy, after all it han't been on the league title trophy since 61.

Whoever wins it will have to beat Chelsea. Would not bet against them this year.

Only one team outside the "Big 4" have won since 1995. Cannot see it happening again for a while, althought Utd being out of it always makes it more fun.

If Tottenscum win however I would try as hard as I could to leave the country as I could not stand that saggy faced crook bigging himself up again.

C'mon You Leeds!

I laugh how Leeds, a team almost universally loathed, have become overnight heroes and much loved underdogs after dumping Man Utd out of the Cup.

And with Redknapp and Spurs up next may all the support from neutrals continue.

But how much more did I want Crystal Palace to be the London club we had to face in the next round. I somehow doubt we can pull off the miracle twice in a row.

Leeds got the neutral suport because of Fergies arrogance- on Thursday he said he would field a strong team against Leeds and his kids team against us on Wednesday, due to the LC being "unimportant". Doubt that will be the case now, if he loses to us the humiliation will be too great. We are the Noisy Neighbours !

Quality Lol ! Now shared with several thousand City fans on Bluemoon !

He's merely distracting Mackay until Norman Hunter kneels down behind him ready for Bremner to push and hilarity to ensue.

Those were the days, eh Jah? Can't really see Luca Modric squaring up to Johnny Howson (That's a Leeds player btw) in quite the same way.

You're too young to remember the Leeds side of the early 70s. Way before your time. They were the most hated team in the country at the time. Horrible feckers that they were. Jack Charlton with his little black book, Norman "Bites yer legs" Hunter, Billy Bremner, Johnny Giles (though he could play), the horrid "Sniffer" Clarke and managed by that cheating fecker Don Revie. Vile dirty bastards the lot of them.

If you ever get a chance try and watch the replayed FA Cup Final of 1970 between Chelsea and Leeds where they kicked lumps out of each other for 90 minutes. There was some cracking football inbetween the violence too.

    • I'm glad that Barry's have posted.  Their mention of the merger soon led me to (a) bushy-tailed  PR guff about the new member joining the inpost 'family' and promising a bright happy world of lockers etc ahead. and (b) clear signs that the same problems related here seem to have been current and widespread even three months ago.  That's just from looking at one thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/vinted/comments/1nlv3u2/yodelinpost_merger_issues/
    • @first mate not aware of any either. Found this relating to 23-24..  https://services.southwark.gov.uk/southwark-creates/funding/cultural-celebrations-fund?chapter=4
    • Do we still get 50+ outdoor community events per year? All the ones round here seem to have been cancelled, like the Christmas Cracker and the summer equivalent and the Small Business Saturday event etc.  Even on the Southwark Presents page the only events in East Dulwich in the foreseeable future are non-council events organised by other people. https://www.southwark.gov.uk/southwark-presents?event_price=All&localgov_event_locality[0]=239&date_min=&date_max=&search=&page=2
    • @CPR DaveWe are talking about Lambeth Council, not Southwark, but I agree. It will be interesting to see if Lambeth fill part of that space with another hire out to a private events company.  As to the idea that what is gained financially from hiring out Peckham Rye Park is a good trade off, does not account for long-term damage to the park and the loss of access to the community for a month at least, in the best summer months where trees and shrubs are in full bloom and animals are birthing or rearing youngsters. For the Council to claim they are 'green' when they allow this is hypocrisy at its finest. @Northern Star Thanks, so they say. I'd love to see a list of these high quality free events and what they entail. I am not aware of any high quality free events in and around ED. Stand to be corrected though. Crikey, seems like they cannot even let Lordship Lane have Christmas lights this year.
