They got their Xmas present from us yesterday Mick..;-)

I'm not convinced about Lennon becoming Celtic manager, the next managerial appointment for the Bhoys is critical, especially when you factor in that in 2011 only the SPL champions can enter the CL qualifying round...

I've been thinking the same about Pleat for a while, he's so much a Spurs man but he always seems to work on the Spurs games. He's not great on the rest but on those it becomes embarrassing, he started defending the Spurs fans for their Campbell abuse on five live the other night..

Back to yesterday and a bit of reflection City really bottled it, not sure what went wrong. Johnson can be great when he's going at people but whenever he cut inside, as he always will as he's on the 'wrong' wing, he played a short ball every time instead of driving in or crossing. Partly because United's defence was packed in there for sure, but also it seemed to be either bottle, or instruction. Similarly the back four and midfield were so far back we essentially conceded 2/3 of the pitch whenever we weren't in possession up till the last half hour or so. Overall just too much respect for a team which could have been beaten if we'd gone at them from the start,

And while I'm here I lost of lot of respect for Rooney with his cheating to get Kompany booked.

Title number 53 here we come. Trouble is, as Sir Walter said, we've had no pressure nad become a little complacent over the last few weeks. But we always knew we had too much in the tank to let it slip.

Not really. I don't think we deserved to win and said why, and I don't like to see cheating like that from anyone.

Hopefully after last minute goals in 3 games like that we'll have learnt some kind of lesson.

Don't you know the rules Anna.

A family man day out = 3 months notice. 1 day = no chance!

(thats my guess anyway)

    • Dishing the dirt is generally fine when it comes to politicians and in Farage's case he often deserves it but  nothing illegal  has been done. It is not illegal for him to give his partner a sizeable amount of money with which to buy a house and have it registered in her name. He is 64 years old and his partner is 16 years younger and so he most likely is making plans to minimise IHT. There is a sliding scale for IHT but basically a gift is free of IHT if the gift is made 7 years before the donor dies. Farage is 64 years old and his partner is 16 years younger. In 7 years time, if he lives that long, he will be 71 years old. Given that he smokes like a chimney and drinks like a fish, his odds on getting beyond 71  years may be pretty slim.  A similar  process is followed by the "bank of mum and dad"  where parents  give money to their kids to fund purchase of a property. Many who are not cash rich will mortgage their home and so release equity to fund their kids property. We did it as have many of our friends.
