Hush, ruffers, Mr Terry is a bit of an idol in this household at the mo.

Monday evening my daughter played at Stamford bridge in the Community Challenge Cup. Her friend had an injury so daughter accompanied her to medical room. John Terry popped in to see if she was ok and chatted to the girls. Rather impressive considering Chelsea's victory the day before - bet he was nursing a hangover.

It probably was in England at that time Mick, it was a whole day event for the family...the build-up to the game started in the morning with special cup final editions of programmes, I definitely remember 'It's a Knockout' with opposing fans as the teams, and I'm sure they did a special QofS too...as a kid it was great!*

England might play 3-5-2 at the World Cup? I'm assuming this is a bored journalist making stuff up rather than Capello not being the systematic organised person we were sold. You never know, 3-5-2 might be best for our players but it seems a tad late to start messing..

I know RD - I was alive then too, but the shown live round the world bit, was a load of roobish, unless you mean in English pubs around the world, I guess.

Ouch my head! Good day out. Too much beer. Kidnapped a Chelsea fan at Maida Vale last night. Cannot remember now where we locked him up. Ooops! Some old Pompey hoolies kicked off at Baker St, dogs and helicopters there! Shameful tbh.

Shame about the score. Funniest part of the day was fat coont lampard missing his penalty.

That's it now. Pompey and my swansong. It was good fun but now it is time to go back to the championship. That'll be the last Wembley day out.

Oh, and apparently, Kenwyne Jones sells watches on the beach!

Cribbed this from The Sunday Times website - thoughts on how your club fared this season, I'll start...

Your season out of five: 3.5, but for Wazza's injury things might have been very different.

Player of the season: Wazza by a country mile.

Worst player: Berbaflop...Carrick had a very poor end of season too. Jah, can we return these damaged goods back to the Lane and exchange them for Modric and Bale? ;-)

Best moment: MO's late late late winner against Citeh and the resulting pandemonium, just inches out Paul Scholes late late winner against Citeh at the Council House and the resulting pandemonium, and Wazza's late winner against Citeh in the Carling Cupp semi and the resulting pandemonium.

Worst moment: The week we lost to Chelski and Bayern.

Most annoying opponent: Malcolm Glazer...LUHG

Your season out of five: -1

Player of the season: Pepe Reina who week in week out shows Jamie Carragher how to pass the ball not 15 yards but 60/70 yards onto the foot of the striker

Worst player: Difficult.. but relative to usual standards Gerrard has been a pale shadown of his former self.

Best moment: Beating Everton at Goodison.

Worst moment: The second half capitulation to a struggling Arsenal at Anfield which for me was definately game up for Rafa.. and off the field the death of ex-player Besian Idrizaj at age of 22

Most annoying opponent: Steve Bruce.. for having a brown tongue from you know who

Your season out of five: 4

Player of the season: Barry Ferguson ? probably justified the ludicrous ?1.2m we spent on him. Joe Hart came close pulling off tremendous saves all season ? a far better player now than when he came to us.

Worst player: Seb Larsson was disappointing for a large part of the season.

Best moment: Our unbeaten run ? the attitude and spirit shown by the whole team. Or if I have to pick one moment, Cameron Jerome surprising Reina from 35 yards (and himself, his team mates and Blues fans everywhere).

Worst moment: Losing at Pompey in the FA Cup QF ? didn?t show up that day.

Most annoying opponent: Beside for the V*le. Referees and linesmen ? some very poor decisions, penalties at Anfield and V*le Park, goals not given at home to Chelsea and in the cup at Fratton.

This could be under Things That Have Made Me Laugh; Mourinho on the Inter Barcelona second leg -

"People like to go on about the second game against Barcelona (at Camp Nou) and they like to say that we parked the bus in front of the Barcelona attack but that's not true, we parked a plane in front of Barcelona..."

    • Meson Don Felipe on The Cut was my go to place for many years. Though it's now many years since I was there. 10-15 minute walk from the Tate. If you go can you tell me what it's like nowadays?
    • Doubt you would have got much change out of £150.00 for battery and certainly having forked out for it, best to use your car. I recently sold  my car via webuyanycar.com - very pleasant experience & was roughly what I was expecting. Pop your bangers reg jnto their website to get an idea of price - they do send e mails once a fortnight/month just as an aid for you. Easy enough to delete - don’t even have to read valuation. They literally buy any car - if you can’t get it to them, they will charge you to get it there or recommend a co that will do it for you. Must say, mine was a 2014 reg and whilst a bit suspicious, paid extra to get money into my account as needed it for next car but was assured funds had I not gone down route I took would be in my account within 5 days. I now live in the country - every time I have been back to Dulwich and surrounding area, normally get a fine for driving at wrong time or parking at  wrong time so if I drive now, park in West or East Dulwich and do everything else by public transport and walking.  Were I still to be living in ED then before I left was pondering this very issue but since I have been back regularly for health reason I no longer drive but take the train and then buses, walk or Uber. Much cheaper than running a car and had I stayed, that would have been the course I would have taken. I don’t go out everyday, have an allotment or job to go to or family so in my case, would be cheaper not to have a car.  Was truely shocked   at the cost of second hand cars…..but where I now live only has a smattering of buses so no choice but to have wheels to get from A to B etc.
    • If you don't use the car often then suggest disconnect the battery between use by undoing the earth (negative / minus sign) cable from the battery and the battery will then last longer between use. Remember, central locking, alarm, clock, etc won't work with battery disconnected and wit ours I have to lock the doors with central locking before disconnecting battery as only have key on one door (leave bonnet open before locking doors). Hope this helps
