Under Pards, as he was known out east, he gained us promotion, a very respectable 9th in the league and a much publicised (rightly so) FA cup final. However he is weak when shown flesh, oh and his best buddy is Derek Lambias. He is the first manager I've ever heard sign a 5.5 year contract.

Five and a half years for Joe" not bad but been out of work for a bit, did I mention degsy lambias is me bessie mate" average.

Odd

Had to laugh on the BBC preview for Irons V City..."The last time West Ham were in a relegation dogfight they had a certain Carlos Tevez to call on..." he was with us last season was he?! Still, when does a journalist, especially the web sort, let the truth get in the way of a 'clever' link. Tevez out today....still not confident :'(

Likes Chilli con carne providing there is minimal sauce.. The girl will eat a mild curry, but not cheese, milk or yoghurt. Both will eat pizza, shepherds' pie. roast dinners, sometimes burgers, rarely chips. Their mother batch cooks meals to put in freezer as the nearest supermarket (Asda) is 2- 3 miles down the road and not on a bus route - so they rarely have takeaways/ready meals or eat out.  They both eat fruit and veg daily and there is never a problem getting to eat these. Agree that The Plough can be hit and miss - a friend asked them to cater for a post funeral buffet and the food was terrible and was in short supply with some of the guests going hungry.  She made a complaint and asked for a refund - and after a wrangle got it.
