Luckily he was not on form today!

Fell asleep in MOTD this evening and woke the find deja vu, before realising it was the Boro Millwall match.

Capacity crowd I see at the Riverside (twinned with the Emirates), 35,000 (although for some reason it was recorded as 15,377

Similarly there was also a sell out at the Emirates, recorded as 60,079 when the ground holds 60,361 so 282 unsold seats which is a shame for such a big club

Stay tuned, the FA Cup knock-out draw will be finalised after Wednesday's Boro v Chelsea game...

Bale's excellent form is a double edge sword for Spurs' fans, he could get them into the Champions League but will he still be there next season?...can't see Madrid or Barca not going for him this summer, esp Madrid as it's 'let's elect a new President' time again...
Opposing fans keep trying to wind up Spurs supporters with that kind of talk. Daniel Levy would strike a very hard bargain for any club wanting to buy Gareth Bale. He's currently on a four year contract, he likes the club, he's playing well, he's happy. If we can qualify for the Champions League and we get another couple of good players in I think he'll stay at least another season with Spurs. There is of course still a chance of glory this season in the Europa League and that would be a very nice little bit of icing on the cake if we were to win that. Anyway, Hammers dealt with. Gooners up next and that is never an easy fixture. COYS!

Bale only has to look at how things have turned out for Luka Modric at Real Madrid to see that sometimes the grass is not always greener.

I think Andre Villas Boas should also take a lot of credit for Bale's current form. He's come in and breathed new life into the club. At the end of last season we lost Modric, Van Der Vaart and Ledley King. Effectively the spine of the team. Not to mention new signings needing time to bed in. Change in footballing philosophy too. We've had our only two recognised strikers out injured or away on Africa Cup Of Nations duty at one time or another and we've coped without them. We're now scoring and winning games in the last few minutes instead of losing them. We're unbeaten in 2013 and now up to third. Things are looking good and I'm well happy. Harry Who?

Why not, he's now copying Ronaldo's free kick technique, even the pre-kick step backs and puffing his cheeks...just needs to work on his tan more.

Was AVP ever doubted by objective observers?

The same core of Chelsea players have played when they feel like it and ejected every manager since mourinhio. Benitez is latest one to give them his mind and feel their wrath

Said it before but screw them and the egos they rode in on

Ideal for me this season is spurs and arsenal get CL spots at expense of Chelsea. Benitez is a good man but he will be out of that cesspool club regardless.

Passing a person reading the Standard yesterday - headline - "Arsenal have ?120m" .... ? What was the detail behind the headline (did anyone read it) - did it put to bed the myth that Arsenal dont have money to compete?

    • In just two days, we’ll take to the streets to show Donald Trump that he and his politics are not welcome here. On Saturday the global far-right mobilised their biggest protest for decades. We want to show that supporters of Trump and fascism are not the majority – far from it. Here are all the details you need for the day. The march assembles at Portland Place, near the BBC, at 2pm (see assembly blocs below). After speeches here, the march will move off at 3pm. It will then march down Regent St, through Piccadilly Circus, on Whitehall (past Downing St) to our rally at Parliament Square. The rally at Parliament Square will begin around 5pm and finish at 7pm. If you can’t make it to the march, feel free to join the rally after work! (Nearest tube: Westminster). The short, accessible version of the route assembles at the top of Whitehall (SW1A 2DY) at 4.30pm to march to Parliament Square for 5pm. You may also prefer to just join the rally directly at Parliament Square.  Join a bloc – and make friends! Our movement is diverse, and various elements are forming ‘blocs’ on the march to emphasise their visual presence collectively. You can join these blocs or form up behind them:   A) Palestine, near BBC, W1A 1AA B) Climate, W1B 1NS C) Amnesty, around junction with New Cavendish St, W1B 1LU D) Migrants' rights, W1B 1LS E) Jewish bloc, W1B 1QQ F) Ukraine, around junction with Weymouth St, W1B 1JL G) Europe, W1B 1NR More stewards still needed Stewards are a crucial part of keeping the protest safe for everyone to participate. They are a visible point of contact for attendees who may need directions or other assistance. Experience of stewarding is useful but it's also fine if you haven't done it before. You will be issued with a hi-vis jacket and briefed in advance and on the day.  Sign up to be a steward Staying comfortable on the day The demonstration lasts for several hours, so we suggest you should:     Bring a bottle of water and snacks (and eat beforehand)     Charge your phone fully the night before, and bring a portable charger if you can     Go to the loo beforehand (really!)     Buddy up with someone, or stick together as a group – it can be hard to find people easily if people wander off     Coming alone? Protests can be a great place to meet like-minded people. If you feel unsure, you can always talk to a steward     Consider the weather: bring a waterproof jacket or wear suncream where necessary     Wear comfortable clothes and footwear, and use our accessible route if you need to (see above) Bring your friends and family on Wednesday. Let’s make this massive! In solidarity, Stop Trump Coalition
