29) Flouncing should be done full force, with vim and vigour, leaving a you-shaped hole in the wall. If you haven't told someone to fuck off, it doesn't count as a flounce.

29.1) Return from flounce is an altogether more subtle affair, involving Word Games and Drawing Room threads

Heehee Rosie - I love Christmas and all that it entails.

Just feel slightly panicky when I start to see the online equivalent of 'festive' turkey and cranberry sandwiches on sale in September ... I mean, I haven't yet thought of what gifts to buy. Eeks. And last year, you really could buy those sandwiches that early.

    • Looking for a short length of electric (twin & earth)  lighting cable. Most likely there could be some in a skip near you??
    • Southwark's recycling guidance says to put shredded paper in the blue bin in a paper envelope or "small box". I've got far too much of it for that  (confidential stuff going back decades) - thanks to the EDF member who kindly gave me a shredder! It would be a "massive box". I have barely started  the shredding, and I've already got an extremely large bagful.   I've read online that you can put it into  large clear plastic bags in the bin for paper,  provided you  clearly label it "shredded paper" and it is obvious what it is. Does anybody know if Southwark would accept it like that? Alternatively, can anyone make use of it for animal bedding or packaging material or adding to  compost?
    • I'm happy to report that some foxgloves are now looking great in my garden. The bees are loving them. Also managed to grow some corn poppies from seed. I've left some decaying logs in the corner so maybe there are some stag beetles there.
    • Southwark lists parks as an ecologically important space so don't understand the point.
