A branch of Greggs the baker is to open in one of the vacant units in Dulwich Village I?m reliably informed. It wil be opposite Gail?s next to the new butchers or in the old Audi showroom. I?d be interested to know how some of the more well to do DV residents feel about a cheap Northern bakers opening up in the Village.

I stopped going to Gail's after I formally requested that they covered the food on the central table as there are often flies crawling on the cakes and sandwiches.

Head office said they took my health concerns seriously.

Last time I went in to Gail's in Dulwich Village and Wimbledon there was no coverings and nothing had changed.

So, I will be happy to exchange my spinach and taleggio quiche for a Greggs sausage roll any day.

It's all about respecting your customers, folks!

More than that, it?s a major EHO violation. You can get in serious trouble for that, I?m astonished they don?t cover them.

Ordinary Cornflakes not good enough for you then!...

I'd never actually heard of Tottenham slices / Tottenham cake before. But it looks good... like something I need to eat.

Too soggy! Also not sweet enough. Waitrose doesn't seem to sell them: how middle class is that?

PS - now having late lunch of Jamie Oliver Morroccan grains (Sainsbury's special offer) with baby leaf salad (Morrisons), avocado and soy sauce ( both Lidl). What class am I now?

Definitely but gluten doesn?t like me anymore but I still give in to the lure of bread now and again!
