I'm a Celebrity...............................

Recommended Posts

Bloody hell! What a bunch Z-listers. Hardly know any of them. Missed it last night as was out on the piss. But, there's no doubt I'll be watching some episodes as it's usually good for a laugh when it comes to the bushtucker trials. Can't wait to see that cunt Katie Price covered in excrement. I want Jimmy "the whirlwind" White to win.

I like I'm a Celeb... enjoy Ant & Dec's banter, the fact that they really do humiliate the "celebrities" and it's a bit more involved than other reality shows. However Katie Price going back into the jungle is a joke - she's absolutely shameless, and this comes across as really desperate on her part.

The live spiders in the mouth task last night was HORRIBLE! Eeeeeeeeeeewwwwww. I'd happily jump out of a plane, eat a kangaroo's bollock, but no WAY would I have been able to do that!

I think it's just the cold, hard cynicism in their eyes that's so appealing.

"See us take this medium," they say, "which offers so much potential for cultural enrichment, for exposure to new experiences, for shared knowledge and expanded horizons. See us take it and traduce it, and cheapen it and you, and enrich only ourselves. Laugh as the grub-eating wretches embrace each fresh opportunity to demean themselves, and think not that you demean yourselves. Now call this number to save Camilla."

You can't help but love them.

    • I’m going to stick my Gregory Peck right out and say not the Tories.
    • I think there's a lot in what you say. Although bi election results aren't usually indicative of GE results, I was horrified to see Reform support was so high in what had previously been a Labour stronghold, Labour and Conservative results reflecting the tired old parties they are.  It isn't our generation (sorry @Sue if I'm being presumptuous!) that will decide the outcome of elections but those in their 20s, 30s, 40s ... if they can be bothered to vote. The Greens and Reform now present a real choice instead of two centrist main parties of the last 30 years which has put people off voting. Perhaps locally I will continue to vote Labour, i really couldn't bear for the LibDems to return and we have to consider the demographic of the whole of Southwark. But come the GE I will probably vote Green.
    • I agree but in the case of McAsh, that would just have left his constituents without a councillor for 3 months until the May elections. MPs switching parties is really galling. If an MP is suspended for law breaking etc., then a recall petition can be issued and, if enough of the constituents support it, a by-election is called. I think the same should apply for defectors.
    • Interesting discussion point @Moovart, should they wait till the next election or should it trigger an immediate by-election so the post is not left empty ?  Your concept is logical and may have the added effect of swaps, lke the Premier league, only happening in a defined transfer window just before each election.
